the sad part is that old growth is so much more efficient at processing CO2. So the profit still rolls in because they can grow new trees, but the environment is fucked because new trees are bad at eating CO2.

I got told that people can't starve because if they were really hungry they could go fishing. Then told me about all the fish they used to catch, sometimes just to fertilize the garden. But when I explained that there weren't that many fish at the spot he mentioned, he explained how to catch them. Everyway was illegal. From catfood baiting to poisoning a pond. He can't even grasp that he is the reason the fish are all gone. He doesn't even eat fish. Smh. Just takes.

When Trump got elected again I was cured of my naivity that deep down most people are decent folks. They're not, they're not evil but simply completely selfish.
