The only thing my orange boy would learn is to get a treat, one must start a fire. But the go bag and window/door stickers aren't optional in my house as I have 3 rescues and live on the 2 floor. Every pet (and occupant) should have their own sticker. Also a throw down collapsible ladder for the vertically challenged.

That's... fucking brilliant. I can not think of anything else to say really.

You can also leave the cat carrier out for them to climb in so they don't just associate it with the vet or unwanted car trips.

I had a super sensitive alarm that used to freak our dog out. I learned this one by accident trying to calm him down with treats after. Got to the point where he would start to move away but then shifted to treat Jar. All future pets will be trained this way.

“Unfortunately, this conditioned the cats to start fires for treats.”

Just small ones, right near the smoke alarms. Cat was smart enough not to burn the house down.

I came here to point out this exact thing.

This is what?

Applause worthy? Read for context, my dude.

I genuinely did not get that from the context at all. Why not just say words instead of using emojis? Surely I'm not the only one in the world confused by that b

You can always buy a new one

I'm going to assume you're being facetious.

Hehe, yeah. It's funny messing with animal lovers. So many of them have empathy disorders

So now you’re pulling “iT wUZ JuST A jOeK”?

Nice try.

So now you are pulling the "I don't have a sense of humor so when people say something I don't understand is a joke they are lying".

Nice try

“They come and go” isn’t the same as “abandon them in a fire to burn alive” jeez

Even if you haven't formed a major bond... that is still a living creature that you're responsible for. If your response to potential danger to them is "You can always buy a new one," then don't fucking get one in the first place.

Perhaps not for you.

Yikes. What a self own.

Damn, you're an actual psychopath. Never wondered that with an entire world and history books full of mankind's peerless bonds with the animals we choose to surround ourselves with, that it was weird for you to not feel like that?

1 month ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

The psychopaths are the people going around "I have more empathy for animals than humans". No that's being a sociopath

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 7

Again, bad news for you bud. That is still called *having* empathy, a trait sociopaths quite definitionally lack.

I feel bad for your cats.
