Remember when Caesar tried to openly defy the senate by marching his forces through the streets? Or when he was just denying orders from the senate and was clearly trying to set himself up as the next emperor of Rome, long after they had done away with emperors? Or how, after a series of insane demands that served only to further glorify his own vanity, the senate finally had enough and stabbed him to death on the senate floor?
