I like how he points out precedents an abortion ban can create for other medical situations. What gets me is the same crowd who cried body autonomy when told to wear a mask, doesn't believe in it when it becomes seeking an abortion. Body autonomy is a right that needs to be established because people should have a right to control what happens to their own body, in proper context to society. That can include things like 'compulsory' masking and vaccines, or abortion and transgender treatments.

Even under Roe v Wade, viability was the only real obstruction to attaining an abortion. Consider that when the health of the mother is threatened by the point of viability, they will normally try to deliver the baby so that ideally, both might survive. So, that level of compassion has ALWAYS been part of the consideration.

That's not what he said. He said the state's interest in the fetus being born is outweighed by the mother's right not to have her body used as property by the state. The point is that after viability, maybe the state can command her because at that point it could take over bc the fetus is viable outside the womb. Until then the state is just enslaving her.
