Germany: burglars from France shot

Jul 28, 2026 10:01 AM

In Gaggenau (Baden-Württemberg, Germany), on the night of July 27, 2026, two burglars (aged 19 and 24, from France) attempted to break into the “Waffenfuzzi” gun shop using sledgehammers and a car. They struck and rammed the bulletproof glass door for about nine minutes.

When the police arrived, the men fled in their car (which had been stolen in France). An officer drove around the vehicle, grabbed the driver’s door, and ordered them to get out. The driver slammed the door shut and accelerated; two shots were then fired. The getaway car swerved, damaged the patrol car, and crashed into the wall of a house.

Both suspects were hit, seriously injured, arrested, and taken to the hospital. They were placed in pretrial detention.

Nothing in the article says the burglars are from France though. The car was indeed stolen there but the border is only 10 miles away and the suspects could be German for all we know. Are you inventing information OP? Or do you have another source?

Read again please, I also don't say "French burglars", I said: "Nothing in the article says the burglars are from France"

OP states: "(aged 19 and 24, from France)"
That specific bit is NOT in the article. That's my question.
There's nothing that say where the burglars come from, just the car. I'm not the one having reading problems. Either OP got that info from somewhere else, I'd like that link, or they added it themselves. If it's the latter, why?

In the US that car would have been Swiss cheese and still driving away.

92 shots fired, 8 hit vehicle. Zero investigation on remaining strikes.

And neither of the suspects are dead. That's even more amazing

That's what happens when you swap out a few months of half assed shenanigans with four years of college level education and training.
