The number one thing you do with ANY stolen vehicle hit is run it against the NCIC database. Before you do ANYTHING at all in the way of legal action, like initiating a traffic stop. A FLOCK hit is not sufficient evidence for a traffic stop, much less a felony traffic stop.
I find it interesting that we have the body cam #WhiteGuy and how ingrained the learned behaviour is that #WhiteGuy repeatedly reassures the cops that he presents no threat... because it's accepted as a factual outcome that interacting with police could lead to your death...I'm trying to imagine what you'd have to do in Ireland, how much time and effort would go in to creating a fatality, maybe if you fell backwards during a fist fight with a cop and hit your head?

We moved one time and the new neighbors called the cops because they thought he must be either stealing or fencing these cars and it went just about like this.
PLEASE notice how he interacted with the cops. Responded to their instructions, answered the questions, asked if he could explain further, asked before grabbing his phone, asked before retrieving something from the car etc. He stayed calm and didn't get an "attitude" (It was daylight & he's a middle-aged white male was also a factor) #1 Survive contact. THEN make a complaint if necessary
Notice how the cops were immediately calm and willing to listen when they saw it was a white guy?
Have you ever seen videos of how they start these types of interactions when it's a black person driving?
No conversation, they'd be dragged out of the vehicle and be face down on the ground with guns drawn on them and shouting to stop resisting. No chance to explain until they get to the station, if their jaws haven't been smashed.

I once received a fine for using a toll bridge near Montreal when I live 3h away and was at work that day... Someone modified their plate and it landed on mine, they've sent the ticket without checking jackshit. On the picture it was a '08ish Jetta, my car was a red '95 Corolla with the front end on bare steel and rusted... So they have access to our "DMV" (SAAQ) for plates and address, but can't bother checking the model? Automation will make this 10 times worse.
I had something similar happen, but the mismatch was even worse... An SUV using modified plates was in the toll lane using a modified plate that landed on the string for my motorcycle's plate. They sent me a photo in the mail to prove it was me when they notified me and wanted me to pay over $900 in tolls. I called up the agency controlling the toll and asked them to look up what that plate is registered to, asked them if that looks like like a full sized car plate or a motorcycle plate

I've been swarmed like this by cops/detectives for mistaken identity (my car was the same color and type) as well so I totally get where he is coming from. Like you're just casually driving going to pick up some sandwiches until 5 cars stop and block you, then cops come running at you with guns pointed, so yeah...maybe a little skittish is valid. In my situation they were detectives so unmarked vehicles and no uniforms.
I think we all know if the skin color of the driver was different, the driver and passenger would be dead. The headline might have been, "Misidentification from Flock Camera Leads to Accidental Shooting" and then bury the lead in the story that the cops yet again murdered POC.
