Many of these aren't funny at all, and I'd argue signs of trauma. Those dogs need to be comforted, and treated in some way.

I love all animals, and we have a cat and a dog (the cat is kept in our bedroom, long story there) and... the dog gives zero fucks about her, aside from telling her "you're not supposed to be here" whenever she gets out. lol

I adopted a young cat and then a dog shortly after who has some pretty severe anxiety issues. She was terrified of everything, and I was amazed at how patient he was getting to know her. He just watched her for days, getting closer and closer, and then finally one night I found them playing. They play every day now.

I feel bad for the first pupper, falling down. But that border collie overreacted *just* a bit I think...

It was just trying to get across the border ... or at least the county line.

Those looks of fear. Not saying it’s great but I imagine a weird. Only animal lvl of seeing like seraphim auras …meanwhile it’s just Bubba being a dick/derp to the doggo.

Cats have no manners🤭

Dogs are afraid of cats that aren't disciplined when they bully the dog, and the dog is disciplined when it does anything at all to the cat.. So the cat knows it can get away with it and the dog can't defend themselves. I hate this

"Cute kitty, my ass. That's a fucking death machine and keep it away from me!"

"That's death by a thousand tiny stinging cuts. Keep it away!"

Anyone else notice how many of them are on smooth hard floors where the dogs have a LOT less mobility/traction.

Like a boxer/brawler trying to fight a martial artist figure skater with a knife and skates in an ice rink. The dogs often have size and power but the cats have mobility and the ability to do serious damage easily. The dogs can only really “win” with overwhelming force and even that’s complicated by the “authorities” standing by.

As a pup lover I always feel and pull for the dog in these videos.

So...you're rooting for the underdog?

cats are just assholes

As a long time cat owner: they are. But most of the time this behaviour comes from the owners. If the owner won't set limits on what's okay, of course they will go further.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

i don't agree that the behaviour comes from the owner. dogs don't get to be assholes if they're left by themselfs. cats assholeness is given by nature imo ^^

Meh I think people just don’t tend to train their cats they like do their dogs. If you don’t train your dog they will act out in obvious way, poop in your house, jump on the dinner tables, jump on people walking in to the house, pull really hard on walks. While cats usually figure out how to use the liter box on their own, are naturally more shy around new people and aren’t typically taken for walks.
I think owners just don’t think they train cats and unfortunately that can enable bad behavior

That first dog has seen some things. lol

I wonder whether dog's reaction speed is so much slower than cat's initiative... and they know...

Russian watermark, unnecessary music. No thanks.

That music isn’t helping, shut it down!

That would not be a Rhodesian Ridgeback!

Honestly, living in that level of fear is bad for the dogs health.

3 months ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

Absolutely. They should get rid of the dog and devote all of their affection to their kitty.

I was thinking the same. Some of these look alright though, more of a “I know what’s best for me so I’m going to stay out of that cat’s way” or just a “I don’t understand the body language of you and it makes me a bit nervous”, but some seem terrified. The ones where it’s a kitty are hopefully going to be ok though - it’s a new situation for them and they’ll hopefully learn to be friends, but the older ones I just hope it’s temporary and that they’re not always in the same household.

A lot of animals don't want to mess with cats. They are small, fast, and can be very aggressive. Its less about the damage they can do and more the pain and what happens if they hit something important. https://imgur.com/pecvIY8

they're also usually well-armed

cats go for the face, eyes and noses are sensitive

3 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Yes, but also, most animals doesn't have access to medical care. Even small cuts from cats' claws and teeth can lead to infections that might be a death warrant in the wild.
While most dogs and many wild predators can kill a cat it might not worth the effort to go into a non-ambush confrontation.

The fact the cat pulled this man's pants down is the final insult to the injury

Totally! Brutal!

All Cats Are Bastards

Counterpoint: you never see drug-sniffing cats at the airport.

Think a lot of dogs also kinda know they would get in so much trouble if they kicked the shit out of the cat.

I grew up with a labrador and he was afraid of our cat. But as an adult I have had 2 dogs (husky, and Border collie) and both of them were / are the boss of our cat now. guess it also depends on breed?

And someone sat at the top of these stairs waiting for what they knew would happen, for shits and giggles

I feel a few are also afraid to hurt the kitties. I mean if these bigger dogs fought the cats. The cats would end up dead.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

IMHO I’d say sorta.

Dogs know the cats are part of the inside family and not prey. But cats and dogs don’t really speak the same language.

I keep my cats and dog separated; dog has no aggression towards them, but he’s big and loud and wants to play; scares the bejeezus out of the cats. So it’s a calmer environment for the cats.

Also he’s a litter box raider and I would just ONCE like to have a negative test for hookworm.

I don't know why you got a downvote, but it's spot on
