I feel like the Blackfire cosplay stands out by just being the worst out of the four. The others all have distinct pieces and decorations that add to the outfit, whereas the Blackfire cosplay is just a printed spandex suit.
Some of their attractiveness is due to the effort they've put into makeup and hair. Most people can be this attractive too, if you learn the skills you need to hide a few flaws here and there.
If you actually go to cons, this falls apart. You'll see people of all body types and attractiveness levels participating and having fun. But, not surprisingly, it's the pics and vids of the conventionally attractive ones that get shared the most.
Oh I got that my comment was actually about that companies looking for a cash cow tv show or a tax write off don't always care about being true to the source while cosplayers usually do.
I think these ones run their own clothing/costume store, so they especially care, the clothes and costumes have to look good so people will order their custom outfits.
Because there was almost 0 effort put into costume and/or appearance for that show? I mean if I recall right they literally gave her a pink glam dress and a (Faux?) fur coat, neither of which I recall Starfire wearing at any point in any official works. Unlike a lot of the online whiners, actress skin color wasn't an issue, Starfire is an alien so anything goes if she's recognizable, but they would've been better off with a plain fuchsia spandex bodysuit than whatever the fuck they went with.
If I remember right, the show introduced her as having gone undercover as a Russian prostitute to uncover.. something. And then completely abandoning that plot thread, or maybe I just mentally blocked whatever that was. Using that outfit as her character's introduction for the promo material was still a giant WTF.
If you look up the actress in anything else, she is an attractive woman. Starfire in *those* promo shots for titans made her look like an afternoon shift stripper
I don’t think i would have been able to concentrate on the show if she wore her traditional stuff lol. That woman was just so hot. She could wear a burlap sack and still be gorgeous.
