A vigorous storm system hit much of the northeastern United States, bringing strong-to-severe thunderstorms to the NYC area and leaving streets flooded.

Fire and floods. The locusts are next.

Probably not in New York. Waders are probably a lot more common outside the city where they'd actually be of use for those that go fishing.
