So, insider trading is legit if you pay for it. Does it matter who you pay? Or just just the White House?

So not corrupt. What. Perfectly normal behavior.

Tell me your social media business is failing without telling me it's failing.

They just commodified insider trading !!

Seems similar to the advanced notices that Jim Cramer (CNBC) Investing Club members receive 🤷

Americans: Surely voting will be enough, he'll totally respect laws.

Just a question but, isnt that illegal?

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It would be a shame if someone payed for this glorious acces and would, you know, copy and paste it to some or all other forms of social media.

That will happen because you can buy the tell people right away. You don't care you already got in. So delay will just be minutes.

He belongs in prison

He belongs in a hole in the ground, so let's 50/50 and throw him in an oubliette. Would also annoy him since he likely can't pronounce it.

I love that word 'oubliette'.
Such a good word.

Corruption aside, aren't social media posts immediate anyway? Is he proposing that posts are delayed somehow?

I'm being dumb. Is this Trump letting companies buy virality?

Pay for the insider information by tweet. Which will conveniently be deleted before released to the general public.

Naw that won't work. They gotta release it to the public to else the retail investors won't generate the bump the insider traders are counting on to exploit.

See they buy early tell the public of some new deal. The public buys in thinking they're getting early info when the smart money has already bought all they want.

Then when the stock climbs due to the surge in demand all Trump's customers sell quick before the bounce ends.

They forget that the market is adaptive. Since everyone know this is what they're doing it will cause reflexive behaviour in the opposite direction. Surge will be short and people will take it as indicator of short positions. It's the dumbest grift in the world. Maybe it will work for a short while but don't bet on it.

Except it doesn't. If the last few years have shown anything it's that the market doesn't really adapt at all because there's always a group of people who think they can beat the rest.

So, a form of insider trading but ok because ….?

Because president and American courts decided the president is a king now

Because the SEC will not investgate who ever pays the bribe.

Well, when the President does it, that means that it is not illegal.

When the president does it, that means he should be removed.

We had our chance back in 2020, the people in charge of the country said "but I don't really wanna" and dragged their feet. He was reelected by people who thought he should be above the law, he installed people who agreed with that, now he is.

Well reason #389,404 he should be removed. I'm afraid it's just going to have to take a number at this point...

Because no one has gotten him into prison yet.
