Scam

Bought an extended warranty from Best Buy for a computer. Hinge broke, they wouldn't cover it because they said only hardware was covered. Fuck them, I won't be shopping there anymore.

Did you buy a plan that covers accidental? If not then that seems fair.

You're an idiot. Your hinge breaking isn't normal westr and tear. Those things last forever and typically only break if you misuse it. 1/2

I dropped my laptop and it broke my hinge but it was being used normally. What do you mean it's not covered? STFU

Nobody reads their shit then get pissy when it isnt what they thought. Do your homework and you wont have these surprises.

Contract said normal wear, the hinge broke from normal use.

Highly unlikely it just broke from normal wear and tear. People like you are idiot and go bitching on the internet. Get the fuck outta here

Broken anything is never considered normal wear.

That's why it's a scam. I bring it in to get fixed they take it in under the contract then call me and say it's not covered and will be $250

You wanted them to cover something that isn't normal wear and tear, that's why it's a scam? Why didn't the dealership cover my bald tires1/2

Those were from normal wear and tear. I drive my car normally and it happened normally. Why didn't they cover it?

Different scenario, but warranties dont cover consumables. (Batteries, tires, etc.) Would be like asking the warranty to cover >
