8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 169 Dislikes 1

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It’s all about perspective. I would just need to shave a little.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

1/4 mile up, can you go up it?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think so. I was too hung over to want to go up there.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Should have waited for the light and water show.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

That show is amazing!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 98 Dislikes 5

tom cruise. but living there? prolly some saudi oil prince. dem sunsabitches is richer than god

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Tom Cruise.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

No one can live at the top since the air is too thin. Source: brother works there.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 6

After doing the math..

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think there are 160 floors and the top 3 or 4 floors are dedicated to powerful air cons for people who live up to the 157th floor.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

are you yankin my chain?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I think there are 160 floors and the top 3 or 4 floors are dedicated to powerful air cons for people who live up to the 157th floor.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Lord Farrquads castle.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I know they're impractical, but I really enjoy these megastructures!!! I'm kind of reminded of the great pyramids, an inspiring symbol...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

be a shame if someone allah ackbar'd it

8 years ago | Likes 261 Dislikes 71

Already done, it's a common every day Muslim life expression.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"It was built by slave labor!" "So was the US, shut up mike" ":("

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's a huge bitch

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They're building a taller one: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeddah_Tower

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I visted the arcitecture firm that designed it in chicago. They had like an open house thing and they where very proud of it. It was fun

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C5C3PFeWAAUV87X.jpg its already taller than the tallest building in my state x.x

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not worth it. The Empire will probably test fire the death star on it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's amazing what you can build if you have a lot of slaves.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

They aren't slaves. They are paid to construct. This notion of "slavery" in the UAE is bs. Look how many indians became billionaires in UAE

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

Yes totally not slaves, they take away the workers passports for fun.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

This. No one believes.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, look at the US!

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

What did the US build?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

The US

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I heard it's empty

8 years ago | Likes 62 Dislikes 15

Like the tower in NK? Or just because they want to be able to accommodate future tenants needs?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Unused floors, yes...but there are restaurants, residents, and offices that are fully operating. Source: I lived there.

8 years ago | Likes 92 Dislikes 1

Oooh I'd totally read a post about living in the world's tallest building!!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It, like Dubai, was more of a prestige than practical thing. My company chose my place, and I wasn't all that high up (relatively).

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That’s pretty cool

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What percent is occupied?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Tough to say because of the revolving door mentality of the place, but I'd guess more than 60% now.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What was it like? Did you enjoy living there? What were the cops like?

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Not OP but I was born and raised there. There’s always something to do, higher pay for corporate and office jobs but no minimum wage 1/

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

No taxes on anything, bipolar weather, slavery, racism and sexism still exist, 75% of people there are stuck up, swimming pools abundant 2/

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 2

Everything is much cheaper than the West, people still get arranged marriages, no (proper) public school system, only 1 decent university 3/

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

so it will be cheap to buy a unit there?

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

That may be why it is empty.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

no I mean it's completely empty, like there's walls and there's space inside and that's it

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 23

Its not uncommon for new large buildings. It’s empty space for future tenants to to build to suit their needs. It’s called core and shell.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

You're confusing it with the giant hotel in north Korea.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Isn't that not even a building, just a facade with 2 or 3 walls

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I’ve been inside. It isn’t like that. Tons of opulence there.

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

maybe they should open a window then? Not surprised with all the hummus however that gives me the toots too

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 6

Now adding opulence to my vocabulary, much obliged stranger

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

While you're at it, add "bombast"

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Lol, we are such an arrogant bunch of apes.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 8

As a human I'm offended.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

What? Why? Because we build tall structures? Is there a floor limit to arrogance?

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

It's not because we do it. It's the "why".

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

Why shouldn't we

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Should or shouldnt were never discussed. Just the arrogance.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Struggling to understand; do you think that building stuff is arrogant? Not being facetious btw. I mean many organisms build things.
