You're 100% right, but if someone is overly hung up on not calling it "genocide" then there can still be a conversation. Ethnic cleansing is generally looked at with the same level of derision, and it's very obvious in this case (the mass expulsion of an entire population from their homes). Individual "war crimes" are well documented, including the aid worker killing etc.
IMO it's more important to have someone see the problem than it is to win the argument about the use of a particular word.

Virtue signalling aside, I’m not sure you’re basing that assertion on any evidence. Israel has been killing Palestinians for decades with almost no consequences. Whereas anyone who makes an Israeli uncomfortable can get jailed and some even get deported. That shows pretty clearly the reality we live in.
I think that the Palestinians deserve to live in safety and dignity. The reality is that they have not had that chance since the Balfour Declaration promised their home to Zionists in 1917.

I think the problem is that while it is so obviously genocide, parts of the world either don't know or are willing to pretend they don't know. Perhaps most significantly including my own country. More of this makes it less socially acceptable to continue pretending. Although, I don't know how many international courts, prominent humanitarians and experts its gonna take to make it untenable.
