I see a lot of people talk about; 'if this were about babies there would be free healthcare, support, etc.' But that is against the ethos of the conservative. Those services would never be provided by their state or any elected government - it will be the way it was done before abortions and contraceptives were permitted; religious residential schools, mother and baby homes, and orphanages. These are the places we have been excavating for mass graves and finally publishing the brutality experienced by the survivors.

If a child is born to a family who can't afford their care or have criminal records this is probably where they will end up. The Supreme Court wants to re-evaluate whether the lives of LGBT people should be criminalized, abortion criminalized, trans healthcare criminalized, even contraceptive use, eventually inter-racial marriage - all could lead to children taken away and placed in the modern version of these places.

And of course, they WILL get state/govt money, if not regulation, because the supreme court just ruled states may fund religious private schools.

It's about fast tracking babies into religious schooling. That's it.

Canadian government and the Catholic Church. Last school I believe closed in '97. Hundreds of indigenous children murdered. Kids were taken

From their parents and forced into res schools. Listen to stories of the survivors and work to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Also, residential schools were about not only religion, but to erase indigenous language and culture.

Can confirm as a recent parent the hospital wanted about a little over 10 grand. Cut us a deal for 5 but had to pay all upfront. It’s dumb.

It is all working by design. May I ask what state? In Cali the states coverage paid for the appointments, birth and nutrition for a few yrs.

I lived in Ohio and that had closed all but one free clinic in the area, since they (and my gyno) were too busy I ended up in the ER.
