Halloween doesn't have as much stigma & consumerism as Christmas does. With Halloween, the most you might have to do is buy some candy for some kids. With Christmas, it's become so entrenched in consumerism that it even has it's own pre-christmas holiday: Black Friday. To put it simply: Halloween still feels fun and creative, but Christmas feels draining and cold like an empty shopping mall.
I love Halloween and dislike Christmas decorations and aesthetic. I think Halloween decorations should wait until at least Labor day, but preferably the equinox. Thanksgiving after Day of the Dead. Christmas after Thanksgiving.
Tell me about it. Halloween is somehow even more commercial than christmas, but somehow christmas bad Halloween good. It's just edgy easter with extra sugar.
Nope, that's the christians. OH NO ANOTHER RELIGION EXISTS. WAR ON CHRISTMAS! That we stole from mashing together Jewish tradition, saturnalia (roman) and Yule. Go cry to your pedo sky daddy about it.
Seriously, never met a group more victimized then Christians. And Christmas lovers. And the meme is bullshit anyways. Christmas stuff is out, and has been just as long as Halloween stuff. In my opinion, Christmas is just as boring as most holidays. Spooky season is the only fun one.
Can we agree to disagree? We love Christmas in my house - because we make it about decorating, parties, watching specials/movies. It only really sucks when “gift giving” is the issue. So make Christmas more like Halloween. Decorating. Parties. Snacks. Movies. To hell with the anxiety of gift giving.
Okay but hear me out on this: Halloween *already* has all the decorating, parties and special movies, PLUS fun costumes and candy, WITHOUT the gift giving part...

Why just pick one? Put up a turkey skeleton wearing a Santa hat in your yard, starting July 5th! Tick EVERYONE off!

There is no war on christmas; you think that because you can't stop harassing other people for 10 seconds.
