To be honest be must have had a rare immune match because there's a huge worldwide registry, when I got mine my doctor literally 1/2

There's a database called BeTheMatch. They often ask you about it when donating blood. BTW people should be aware that donating bone 1/

I got registered on BTM and got matched. Donated stem cells. Took 8 hours, but was worth it. They give you shots prior to fatten your cells.

Harvesting bone marrow is completely different, most of it actually uses peripheral blood, from the arm, and stem cells are taken from that

Well kinda. One method, youre required to take a medication 2 weeks(?) Prior to donating & it does have side effects. So might affect work.
