Beware: Surrounding Austin, for hundreds of miles, are idiotic rednecks who voted for Trump.
http://www.270towin.com/presidential_map_new/maps/4lybl.png : TX,OK,LA,AR all Red. Granted, bigger cities=Blue + demographics trend blue.

Really? I live in that area in Fort Bend County, which is one of the most, if not THE most, ethnically diverse counties in the Nation.
Apologies; I recognize islands of liberals exist in TX but your school board has pissed off a lot of us northerners & made u a laughingstock
I'm from the North (check the name), but tbh, I am neither a Trump supporter, nor a liberal. FB County isn't very liberal either.

wha.... all of the surrounding?
See above, yes, cities=liberal, rural=GOP, but Hispanic demographics are shifting all to Blue over time. Sorry, yes, islands of lib. exist.
And even w/o liberals, the ethnically diverse county I live in, is not full of rednecks. We just don't buy into the Clinton machine.
Ok, difficult Q: are you debating 'redneck' or 'Trump-supporter' ? Electoral map link says Trump. Redneck: generalization. Apologies.
1/2 Sure that's the history of where the term came from, but it's used as a derogatory term in current society. While I didn't personally
2/2 support Trump, did it ever occur that some people dislike Hillary so much that that's how they voted? Some will do the same in reverse.
