Also, should keep spine neutral. In a lot of these, he's looking up or curving his back.

Pecs on pull down?

Pecs definitely engage, but definitely not a main muscle groups of the motion.

Yo, deadlift works much more muscles than painted there. Maybe use more weights next time

one of the worst depictions of a deadlift I've ever seen. For a second I thought it was afucked up bent over row. Then a romanian deadlift.

these aren't all that correct, which exercise are you not getting tricep acitivation?
6 from the bottom (not quite kickbacks... more like dumbell rows I think?). It’s either hat or the ancillary muscles aren’t strong enough
I mainly feel it on my shoulders
kettlebellislife
Best lower back workout?
Stiff Leg Deadlifts/Hyperextensions/Good Mornings. Strengthening your glutes and abdominals will optimise your lower back support.
I reccomend 8-12 reps for 3 sets if you're new. Body weight for good mornings / hyperextensions is great, very low weight for Stiff deadlift
superpaul79
That last one... can someone explain how pulling down works pecs?
AspartameDaddy
The only thing I can think of is how it stretches your chest wide at the bottom of the pull. Otherwise no clue and I've lifted 3 years.
LandoGandalf
I'm guessing it's because they don't actually know how the back works.
Technically there's a little bit of chest activation when you begin the movement, but not very much.
OneSexyUnicorn
Anything for lower back?
SlapMySalamiThatGuyIsACommie
Deadliftsss
Good Mornings, Stiff Leg Deadlift, Hyperextensions- if you're new I'd do all these with body weight first before adding weight
8-12 is a good rep range for beginners, remember to brace your glutes and abdominals for maximum support of lower back.
Pro tip: you can tilt the bottom of your rib cage(area) inward slightly to provide some lower back support
dosdedos
#3 Can cause you to get a hernia! It's better to do it standing leaning on a inclined bench.
airwind0
Can you please explain how? I used to do this and had umbilical hernia surgery many years back. But couldn't just relate the 2.
When you do this strictly, there is little risk of hernia tear but? When you cheat rep and use your torso to twist up the weight , you tear

Dunno if you got your answer but try Standing cable crunches. I hate working abs but this one works fine for me
Yours is the first, will have to give that a shot. Thanks!

What about six pack, I need for friend, Summer is coming
10 minutes for abdominals is optimal for working core, here is a set I like to do- Plank, Crunches, Russian Twist, Scissor Kicks, Plank
If you feel your obliques are not activating so much, try doing obliques first in your ab routine for optimal activation throughout
If you're experiencing lower back pain for scissor kicks, try placing a pillow under your lower back
And hey- abdominals can be targeted very frequently, I suggest 6 sessions a week.
If you're not feeling like 6 goes a week, 3 would be the next best thing.
See how my set incorporates every part? Plank(great time under tension for whole core) crunches(upper abdominal) Russian twists(obliques)
Scissor kicks(lower abdominals)
Nutrition is also very important as fat deposits tend to occur in abdominals quite frequently,
Dr. Nike isratel has suggested 1.6g of protein per pound of body mass to prevent losing muscle while losing fat.
Everyone has a BMR (base metabolic rate) it can be estimated based on your height and weight--- Google BMR finder
now that you know yours, you need to enter a caloric deficit of (roughly) 200 calories per day. And heads up- exercising will increase cal--
Calorie needs!!! so factor that in for planned workout days!! If you're only doing abdominals on a day, that is light light exercise.
I'm not sure what country you're from but visit your gov.heAlth for food serving reccomendations
Calorie deficits make invoke food cravings >_<, I recommend protein to feel sated, but do not mistake protein for energy as it provides
Very little energy for your body.
