https://amp.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/nov/01/european-greens-ask-jill-stein-to-stand-down-and-endorse-kamala-harris

It's far too late and she went into her four year hibernation cycle weeks ago after the check from Russia cleared anyway.

The American registered no-party preference is also asking Jill Stein to fuck off

2 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

The people still acting like there's any chance of good-faith engagement from the Republicans are heartbreaking in an infuriating sort of way.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

She is there specifically to split the democrat vote. Why would she pull out? It might upset her boss...

2 years ago | Likes 353 Dislikes 10

Ralph Nader in 2000 did not gain anything for the green party by staying in the race. We do now all think of him as a narcissist now.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Putin won`t allow her to drop out.

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Yeah. She is not there to represent a 3rd party. She is there to draw votees away from one side.

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

We got a couple mailers for Jill Stein, paid for by some puppet GOP PAC.

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

She's a Putin stooge with tankie tendencies...this is her plan.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

"Well yes, but daddy putin is paying me a lot to be a spoiler, so no."

God forbid people have the option to vote for a politician with policies they prefer. There should only be two choices and fuck you if you don't like them.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Wish I could give you more up votes.

Yikes!

Those waiters look like KGB. Apparently that was "a December 2015 dinner in Moscow." So I'm right!

2 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 1

To be fair, it would be the CIA guys, if this event went down anywhere outside of Russia.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

ALL the people around the table are either KGB, or traitors. I trust you know who Flynn is?

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

@AmySwank FYI, there are some like minded [to you] people who can still do the math.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Don't bother trying to reason with tankies. At best, they're being paid to be contrarian, and at worst, they're doing it for free. It's a fucking cult at this point.

JILL STEIN IS A PUTIN PUPPET, STOP EXPECTING HER TO BE DECENT

2 years ago | Likes 251 Dislikes 12

Fuck Jill Stein.

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

I bet that they don’t expect her to, but that they’re doing this to encourage US Greens to vote for Harris.

2 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 1

I was speaking to the US Greens who still think the green party is about tree hugging and not just a russian backed political spoiler.

2 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 2

Fair!

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I suspect you are right.

2 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

I suddenly got a lot of mail and texts from Jill Stein, didn't even know she was running. She's probably funded partially by the Republicans, and maybe the Russians.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

These too little too late things are dumber than dumb.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

She spends entirely too much time in russia for me to ever trust her, I like the green party at a local level but federal level seems only to exist to drain democrat votes.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

Where are they even active at a local level? I've never seen it.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

My home town was the first green party town in the nation. I have no idea how many years that lasted tho.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not until Putin tells her

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

She’ll do what Putin tells her

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Even the EU greens are better than the hack known as Jill Stein.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Jill Stein is a russian plant. She is there to siphon votes from Kamala

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Uh yea, they won't vote Harris even if she endorses. It. Is. A. Protest. Vote. They'd sooner write in "Free Palestine" as a candidate before voting Harris. Do people really not understand how voting works?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

The US Green Party is NOTHING like the Greens in Europe

2 years ago | Likes 57 Dislikes 3

UK Green party isn't massively better. Both tend to be filled with naive, uninformed people more focused on idealistic sloganeering than offering practical solutions. And both tend to just draw away voters from a bigger left leaning party that, while not perfect, would at least have the power to do some good things.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Sometimes when I'm disappointed by the antics of the Australian Greens, I look at Stein, and I feel much better.

2 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 3

Yeah, they used to be good, now they are just obnoxious idiots who just want to act like they are better than everyone else. But don't really want to do anything to help everyone, only themselves. They are honestly almost as selfish and short-sighted as the Libs are. Australia had the first green party ever, one that actually cared about the environment, how far it has fallen.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

The friction between Labor and the Greens is agonizing. They're both so unwilling to come to the damn table and compromise when it's needed, even when the goal is fairly similar.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The problem is Labor proposes what can be done and afforded. The Greens demand only the pie in the sky goals and won't accept anything else. They're also terrible at economics, most of their proposals when you look at how they say they would be funded just don't work. And often their plans to grow the economy would actually shrink it. Now days it's a party of people who are environmental elitists who think they are better than others just because they drive an electric car. Party is full of Ego.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Their published party platform SOUNDS like an environmental movement. Clearly the party has been hijacked to become nothing more than a spoiler mechanism to split Democrat votes. They helped George W. Bush get elected. The  US Green Party is no longer a member of the global organization of green parties in part due to its ties to authoritarian leaders like Vladimir Putin. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_Party_of_the_United_States?wprov=sfla1

Crystal green.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Get Republicans Elected Every November.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Indeed. The Greens in Europe are often parts of coalitions that actually govern and have access to political power. As such they have actual accountability and a legitimate sense of duty.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

She is paid to be pointless. To do whatever damage she can.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Too little, too late besides Russian puppets only do what Putin tells them to do.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Jill Stein is a spoiler vote, she only campagins against democrats and you should ask her about her views on putin.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Hasn't she been going at it longer than Putin has been in power, though? I'm not saying she's not a spoiler - she always gets many times the number of votes in the margin between D's and R's - but is she really working for Putin if she's been at it longer than he's been in a position to run things?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not really. Jill Stein ran her first political campaign in 2002 at the state level, and entered federal politics with her Presidential campaigns in 2012 and 2016. Vladimir Putin has been in charge of Russia in one form or another since late 1999.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I thought it had been longer than that. Then again, I'm getting old and that awful time dilation effect is increasing... That actually lines up pretty well, though. SMH.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Are the greens this naive?

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

There's a not-insignificant amount of idiot leftists out there attracted to these 'idealism-first' parties. Especially low information people who think of themselves as anti-establishment and believe in all the 'Democrats are just as bad as Republicans' messaging.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

Yeah no kidding. Although my best friend and his wife both smart (she’s a CFO for a large corporation) are so frustrated that they are throwing their votes away on principle. So sometimes it’s smart morons who don’t see how the choice is always the lesser of 2 evils even when 1 is full on fascism vs Ho hum boring regular politicians.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

We recently had a flood of ‘socialists’ claiming that we should split the vote by voting for cornell west or jill stein. As a socialist I gave them both barrels, and eventually they fucked off after about a week, prolly because the check that was supposed to pay then bounced

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

The sanctions against Russian have the salutary side effect of dropping the ruble to a level it saw for only a week after the war on Ukraine. Stein & trump want payment in dollars so that'll stretch Moscow's treasury that little bit harder.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or they only got paid to do it for a week.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Son, my mom ran into an ad where they called Harris a war criminal.......

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Damn, so elect orange hitler instead of a middle of the road typical democrat. Unbelievable.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

My mom and I are still trying to figure out where they came up with that idea considering VPs aren't responsible for international stuff....

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I get it, they’re attributing the current executive branch’s inability to stop a long time ally from overreacting when going after terrorists with no concern for civilians but of course are blind to congress’ role and the simple rule of law inability for us to stop another nation from making their own decisions. What is so fucked is that trump says they should be tougher. So the hypocrisy is insane.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

that would probably actually do more for environment than her participation

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Just like Ralph Nader's 2000 spoiler run against Al Gore, because Ralph's precious fee-fees were hurt when Al was too busy to return his phone call, screwed the environment for the sake of his ego.

How'd that Iraq War by a Texas oilman work out for ya there, Ralphie? Fuckin' dolt.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

What good would it to do any democrat to vote for her ? She won’t make it anyway? What would be the logic behind voting for her when staltrump might get the dictatorship he wants ?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Same grandstanding logic as being a democrat and not voting because of Israel. It's basically virtue signalling and a vote for Trump.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

I think you should be asking the people who have stated they won't support Trump or Harris, rather than asking here.
