The found Devonian fossilzed forests near Devon, UK? Where else would they be?

This forest is old. Very old. Old as balls.

Just some glorified mosses. .... Also, haven't we recently learned that there are no such things as trees? So, which part of the tree consortium is this plant the ancestor of?

Correction: Glorified fern.

How are things still being discovered in England? People have been there for like, a while. And it's a fairly finite amount of land.

It's mostly because people can't see through the ground easily.

Underground.

If we dig up all the ground to find stuff there'll be no where left to stand.

It hasn't all been dug up yet.

3-5 "while"s at least. Could be a result of draining/exctraction of peat bogs for fuel.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Who was draining peat bog hundreds of millions of years ago? The invertebrates? Maybe you are referring to other things that have been found other places in peat bogs? I want to understand your comment.

My point is that peat is now actively used for fuel, hence more things are discovered in it

Things are discovered in peat, yes. These particular fossil trees were found in sandstone. Now I wonder where the sand came from!
