My demon was tobacco. In a few more days, I'll be 47 years clean from nicotine. Every single one of those days in all those years, I got a smug chuckle over having beaten my demon. Every day clean feels better than the one before.

yea can understand. ive done that in 2018, i was tired of seeing my brother drunk af and i heard he did hit his wife while he was drunk sometimes. i said nop. not gonna happen to me and havnt drink any alcohol since. the only acceptable is when i cook (in the dish not in my glasses) :)

i made 2 rules in my house.
- 1 if you want to drink alcohol here, you bring your bottle, you can leave it here its fine i wont drink it, and you ll have it next time.
- 2 i stopped smoking in 2017, so now if you want to smoke you go outside even if it rain and -10c, idc.
