So we were doing this popular hike in China. Like all Chinese hikes it was lots of steep stairs (and Chinese, duh). This girl in a white dress was keeping pace with us, and my husband tells me he's gettin the creeps and he can't figure out why. Then it hits him, as she's going up the stairs on hands and knees (a reasonable thing to do on those stairs.) her long black haor and outfit make her look exactly like the girl from Ringu.

Reminds me of swim class in high school with my hair down to my butt. I’d put my hair up in a bun but it’d come loose while doing laps, wrapping itself around each arm lol!

I gotta say I wore a cap to prevent my hair from coming loose during swim team practice but a cap never prevented it from getting at least somewhat wet. Maybe it was those shitty latex caps I was using?

Yes and it hurt like hell trying to put it on and take off. Also it’s not easy trying to get super long hair inside those things. In the end I had my hair chopped to a short bob (had requested shoulder length) ended up with chin…and that also began my fear of hair salons!

I swam on a team for years with very long (lower back) length hair. My solution for that potential mess was to put my hair in a tight bun first, then hold the front of the cap with my fingers to my forehead and have a teammate pull the back of the cap to either side and over the back of my head simultaneously. Worked almost every time! Taking off is way easier if your hair is in a bun. I haven’t swam in awhile but I really don’t miss putting a cap on. Way easier than swimming w/ long hair tho!

You could do a braid, but you would eventually have to wrap it in a bun so it fits under the cap. I supposed you could do the braid into bun for extra security, I always just did the bun as I was often swimming in multiple events and needed to move quickly and get the cap and goggles on fast.

Noone except a couple of private schools has lessons. But you can take them at the local pool in the summer time. 🤷♂️
