Calvin and Hobbes By Bill Watterson. This comic series was my all time favorite, so its my pleasure to post this as a daily comic so others can share in the joy that I have!
Webcomic Pants are Overrated also created a short series of comics called Hobbes and Bacon that did a really good job to keep the same spirit of Calvin and Hobbes that I suggest you give it a read. Thanks to user SunbrosUnite on Imgur.

If you love old comics then you'll love my buddy Hemplockhomie420 daily Peanuts post. My mom introduced me to the Peanuts comics as a kid, and as an adult I still Charlie Brown!

If you want to support Bill Watterson by buying the Complete Calvin and Hobbes collection, I suggest buying his book from Bookshop.org to support local bookshops. Their mission statement as copied from their website states:
Bookshop.org puts this mission and the public good above financial interests, giving over 80% of our profit margin to independent bookstores. In total, we support over 2,500+ stores.

I always enjoyed Calvin & Hobbes, But being a malcontent is part of heredity and environment. Reading this, it sadly reinforces being malcontent with the world around us. Just like Buzzfeed and Bored Panda routinely post awful shit, like: "The 20 worst things Medical Professionals have seen other Doctors & Nurses do!" Or: "18 stories of how people caught there spouse cheating!" Sorry to be sadly melancholic.
At least, there is "The Good News Girl" on YouTube.
