I don’t know why every company thinks going public is a good idea.
I worked for Oatly (shit company shit milk IMO).
It made great progress riding their reputation. Decided to go public. As soon as they had to open their books. Shares struggled for like a year or so. It was in danger of being delisted several times.
And then the lay offs came. Gotta create value for investors! Fuck the people doin the work!
It honestly amazes me every time I see any news about SpaceX, specifically "Starship", because it's always "look at how well this rocket did, what an amazing launch and recovery!" and you look into the details and it's like "2s into launch 4 rockets fail and cannot be restarted, deployment of satellites was 80% completed before the system froze and the others were lost, re-entry destroyed vital systems causing it to crash down."
I get that it is literally rocket science, but when you're 13/13 on major systems of the thing you're building failing on first-time usage, maybe you suck at building stuff and shouldn't be trusted with people's lives? That thing is going to kill people once it launches, and Musk is gonna be completely laissez-faire about how "oh yeah, sometimes astronauts die, no biggie" :(
At first saw the IPO and wondered if I should have stayed at SpaceX, they gave me a low ball offer with options to buy lots of stock. But the thing is it's just a chance to pre-buy, it isn't free. And employee stock has a lockout period that even now is still in effect. It this point if I'd stayed for like 10 years to get that payout, I'd be down $10 per share on the strike price they were asking.

#2 Isn't that space shuttle Colombia, a NASA / Boeing creation, burning up in during reentry? The SpaceX stuff usually blows up on the launch pad.

I really hope all private space ventures fail. We need to do it together for the good of all and not for the profit of the few

This was the plan all along. Felon's Twitter investors needed paying.

Note that SpaceX already got their money when they sold their new shares in the IPO.

Yea, this is just ruining Elon supporting chuds. Oh no.

Shame that all employees can't sell until a bit into August.
