The body must be able to build up a tolerance to that because I put my favorite ghost pepper sauce on damn near everything and I haven't felt the burn on the back end in years.

I don't get the whole thing with spicy food coming out painful. I've had plenty of hot foods and even if it causes indigestion and diarrhea, it's no different from any other kind.

same here... when my asshole IS burning then I know I have some kind of infection.... in regards of hot food my asshole is fireproof. Not so my mouth, though.... the Wendy ghost pepper burger was close to the max I could stand in the US vacation in 2023

I went to BWW once and accidentally got the blazin wings and like I say when I do something stupid, “MOMMA DIDN’T RAISE NO BITCH” I ate all the blazin wings and funny enough I got food poisoning from the coleslaw. Oh boy, I got a funny story with that.

I have a very high tolerance for capsaicin, even in the anus. My problem is that indulging in a particularly large quantity of extreme heat, my gut bacteria will rebel and force an evacuation. And that can be absolutely harrowing in terms of pain.

I've heard this is because some people lack a digestive enzyme that breaks down capsaicin. I've never had spicy poops and I'm a borderline chili head.

You can definitely do things to affect how well capsaicin breaks down in the digestive journey. For example drinking a lot of fluids will actually impair that process somewhat.
I've taken some massive quantities though. Been pepper sprayed. Covered my face in Dave's Insanity Sauce. Been going through some sauces with pure capsaicin extract.
I just think it's remarkable that the gut microbiome, which is billions of symbiotic organisms, is capable of kicking off such a reaction. Sorry lil fellas
