Unfortunately that is incorrect and the effect is working exactly as intended. Reduced supply increases demand which in turn increases prices. Increased prices mean increased profits. Oil oligarchs are offsetting the cost to upgrade and exploit Venezuela’s oil supplies. The feelings of the consumers do not factor in this equation because our lives depend on the fuel we need to consume. We will pay the inflation rate, because fuck you that’s why.
