In Peru I saw people cross rivers deeper than that in Camrys so I'm not particularly impressed. Still, good to see a truck actually used for something other than going to the grocery store I suppose.
Indeed, also the reason why so many places in the UK are called something-ford. As it was a place where one could wade through the river when conditions would allow. I would not be surprised if the family name Ford stems from a wade-able place.
