Not quite Auschwitz yet, but they're getting there. The GOP hasn't YET made the transition from concentration camps to outright death camps.
But it's in their plan. Stepping up from "indefinite imprisonment" to "mass executions" was always the goal. It's not enough to keep undesirables confined. They want them dead.
Once that kind of program gets instated, sporadic deaths due to neglect will look like amateur hour in comparison.

Not to diminish the cruelty - but if you think it's anywhere near what the Nazis did, not exclusively, but especially in KZs, I can only recommend you read a little more about them.

It's shocking how fast the US learned that Mass Incarceration without prison labor is too expensive. The Nazis had camps for a decade to learn this, the US had the Florida camp open for months before shutdown. Im sure there's some Guard to Prisoner ratio they dont want to get to, where having enough laborers could overtake the prison.
