“I'll never eat anything from the UAE.”
—a Sudanese woman rejected UAE-backed aid on camera, refusing to serve a staged propaganda scene. The photo-op aid campaign was promoted by UNHCR, a UAE aid initiative and ActionAid. Sudanese activists have long condemned the UAE for supplying weapons to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) as the militia carries out mass killings. In March 2025, Sudan brought a case to the International Court of Justice, accusing the UAE of supporting genocide. The UAE now pushes photo-op aid drops to sanitize its image. From Gaza to refugee camps, Abu Dhabi presents itself as a donor while backing forces responsible for displacement and bloodshed across Africa and West Asia

It's not just propaganda. Aid is a tool of soft control. If you make people reliant on you for food, you have a level of power over them.

refusing to serve as a staged propaganda scene by serving as a staged propaganda scene?

This is correct. This is part of staged anti American propaganda and misinformation by China (who actually does fund terrorism and genocide in Africa alongside Putin.) China is very active in this regard.

Fuck Zarah the most. But, all those grocery brands are integrated into the western society. I HAVE to put effort into finding alternative. Cola I could buy home brand, sure. But many will be extremely difficult. Definitely for the casual consumer.

MOGO - Most Good, Least Harm. Do what you can and add bit by bit. Every little bit helps and not just when it comes to Gaza. Changed my diet up a lot because I didn't want another damn dollar of mine going to support things I totally oppose, and ended up much healthier for it (tastier meals too).

truck driver here. i once delivered two oshkosh M-ATVs to the baltimore docks https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oshkosh_M-ATV. they cost $537K each, and the UAE was accepting a delivery of 98 more. now why would the UAE need 100 M-ATVs?

Up until reading this comment I sincerely thought Oshkosh was a made up corporation for old shows like Doug or hey Arnold.

I'm confused what your point is. Practically every military in the world uses MRAPs like M-ATVs these days.

that was most likely meant for Yemen. The UAE is still pretty hush hush about their support for the RSF, so they've been mostly supplying small arms to them. The STC, on the other hand, were fighting the Houthis, who have heavy weapons, so this equipment would actually be useful to them. Those M-ATVs have probably fallen into the hands of the Saudi proxies at this point.

Just shy of $6 billion in PAC-3s, as well, but that was only 3-4 days ago.

At least the military industrial complex is winning...?

I thought you meant Oshkosh the kids clothing line at the start there 😳

More moral backbone in this one woman than all the 350 million Americans who would sooner bow to their child-raping, genocide-fuelling Nazi than grow a spine and remove him.

"But I'll lose my job if I go protest!" - Your job has this much power over you because you never do, all while this woman is literally starving, but not yielding.

I've lost track of how many Americans have stooped to the level of asking foreigners like me, "What do you propose we do?" like the concept of getting up and fighting for anything is so foreign and frightening for them, even if it would be to protect their own children from growing up in a fascist dictatorship run by a child-raping Nazi. They'd rather pretend they're doing their part by posting "Punch a Nazi" memes.

I've had Americans here argue to me that we should use military force to fix America while maintaining that a weekend protest is all they can do. It's absurd. Don't worry they have their big quarterly peaceful weekend march coming up. Get ready for all the chest thumping over then and how much progress they are making before returning to work and carrying on.

I've heard plenty of that crap from them too. "Please invade/liberate us", while they carry on posting memes and keeping their heads down. Or the more angry/butthurt "How about you come here and fix things if you care that much". Their "biggest protest in US history" last year involved less than 3% of their population, which just walked around with signs for a few hours on a single day before going back to bowing their heads. Illustrates their culture of complicit apathy and inaction.

Wtf? Are you claiming the oppressive regime with 'Morality Police' are somehow the good guys? I don't think there are any good guys involved in this fight. Except maybe the poor everyday citizens of Iran and Lebanon?

do u know that no arab countries have elections! all r supported by US, all murderous fascist self appointed dictators stealing trillions from the citizens. Arab Spring was supposed to bring free fair elections to all arab countries decades ago. trump + netanyahu called for Iran citizens to revolt. they really meant all Saudi, Iraq, Jordan, UAE, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Egypt right? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arab_Spring

I knew the first bit, didn't know about the second bit, not sure about that last bit.

march 8 - Netanyahu called on the Iranian people to revolt https://unn.ua/en/news/netanyahu-called-on-the-iranian-people-to-revolt i hope americans figure this out because the corporate media is corrupt and concealing it. if freedom for iran citizens is the goal then why not all the other murderous arab countries' dictators? is it brown and arab means you don't get to vote?

I wouldn't hold your breath, and anyone with a brain knows that corporate media is just mass propaganda. The western world is comfortable looking the other way when it comes to other Arab countries because of... you guessed it... oil.
