2024 Community Mixtape Vol. 8 - Rage

I'm Benny, one of the Community Managers 'round these parts. The mixtape is a little early this month because of next week's Pet Show.

For the uninitiated, in 2022, we started a new tradition. Each month, I asked the community to share their favorite songs with the world. From those songs, the top 50 by upvote were then added to a playlist.

This year, we will choose songs by their use case. At the end of the year, we will have a playlist for many common occasions. Today I am here to present last month's volume and collect 50 tracks for this month's theme, Rage.

Did you know that the *clank* sounds in "Duality" by Slipknot are made by slamming a baseball bat on a keg? Slipknot uses auxiliary percussion to create the "raw" feeling their fans love so much.

This month's mixtape is the soundtrack to Imgur's personal rage room. What do you listen to when you're angry? Death metal? Dubstep? Whatever tunes you use to blow off steam, we want to hear!

In addition to securing their slot on the mixtape, the top 50 comments by upvote will receive staff pick trophies.

Updates to the mixtape will be shared via in-app messaging each month. If your comment doesn't make the cut this time, you will have another chance in the next Music Friday post!

This year, our focus will be on giving you playlists you can use for various occasions. Hopefully, by the end of the year, we'll all be equipped with new music to use for events, gatherings, or various household tasks.
