yeah, that's 100% true. i have not the money for seed and used grocery fruits and vetagbles for my plants. initially they tasted watery and sweet-less as the grovery ones BUT give them a lot of sun, great dirt and nutriens and they WILL get sweeter, bigger and overall much tastier. this is a "truest me bro" statement but just give it a try. don't waste money on overpriced seeds. if you have the time give grocery plants a try and 2 or 3 generations time

The only drawback is that some plants, such as bananas or grapevines, can only be propagated by cuttings, which makes them sometimes more susceptible to diseases and bugs.
Nearly all commercial fruits. Apples and pears, citrus fruits, grapes, stone fruits, berries, figs etc. Melons are one of the few fruits that are still grown from seeds, but I don't see many people growing melon vines in their backyard. It's only an option if you live in a warm or tropical climate. And it's not like the seeds are expensive. When 50 melon seeds sell for 2 bucks, it's not worth the hassle of eating seed-bearing melons.

Which are then in control. I remember farmers being sued because they arvested crops growns from genetically altered and patented seeds blown in from a neighboring farm. (Don't remember the outcome though. Strange memory.)
It's kind of analogous to video games going to download only. A bunch of people make noise online about it, meanwhile most gamers had no interest in a shelf of video game boxes or wanted the physical copies anyway.

Nearly all commercial fruits. Apples and pears, citrus fruits, grapes, stone fruits, berries, figs etc. Melons are one of the few fruits that are still grown from seeds, but I don't see many people growing melon vines in their backyard. It's only an option if you live in a warm or tropical climate. And it's not like the seeds are expensive. When 50 melon seeds sell for 2 bucks, it's not worth the hassle of eating seed-bearing melons.
