Equality would be using three different ethnicities with different sexual preferences for this comic you misogynistic piece of foreskin
rawdog
They should still deport all 3.
SnoBored
As per usual you omitted the thrid panels about barriers

Or you could tear down the wall.

Now how can we achieve this goal without stealing a box from the tall person?
Bitterbal
This post just shows that as long as you are average/above average you will never have to worry about anything.

i think equality is "fair". being fair is not the same as being nice.

All things will never be fair for all people. Cute picture though.

That's true - but why fight trying to make them more fair?

Communism: everyone is equal so I take all the boxes
libertarianism is just knocking down the wall.

TIL that by my being tall, I am a dick If I don't carry around boxes for people shorter than me
ErdogantheFalafelMan
Equality as a term, depends on the context it is used. Real equality is equality of opportunity, not of outcome.
And equity does not mean what the pic suggests. The state of being equal, especially in status, rights, or opportunities, is still equality.
Fairness ≠ equal results
NixonDidNothingWrong
Equity is great. I can do fuckall with my life and get enough boxes to be the same as peepz bustin they ass. w00op w00p!
samIamm93
Someone completely missed the point.
Yeah, people busting their ass to be...tall?
Razz50
He's correct, it's not easy being tall
footfoe
First you have to admit some are "shorter" than others.

That's why we stopped giving out vaccines - don't want to be fascists fighting the universe!

Equality is having the same chances, not outcomes, like in a race
cookseancook
thank you. the embedded explanation is vague and wrong
And equity is realizing that using a footrace to determine winners isn't giving equal chances to people who are paraplegic, for example.

If you're trying to determine who can run the quickest then a footrace is a good measurement. If you're deciding who gets bonuses at a 1/2
non-physical job that hires paraplegics then it's not being equal. All about context.
Sure - that's why things like accessibility for office buildings is important.
But if we all have the same outcome, why should anyone try their best if they get nothing more?
ShowMeYourButtonhole
Equity is the opposite of that you think it is. It's not about outcome. It's about input. Leveling the playing field, not changing the rules
We're not looking for the same outcomes, but a fairness of chances. Just because we are running on the same track doesn't mean we have 1/2
ThePickliestRick
A fairness of chance is equal opportunity, not equal results. A paraplegic can participate, but they're going to lose. They still get to try
So what would unequal chances look like?
been given equal chances - we need to examine where and how society helps and hinders people unfairly to ensure equal chances 2/2
