I love Andy Serkis. I bought an audiobook copy of The Hobbit and was enjoying listening to the very pleasing male voice narrating. Ended up falling asleep to it. 2am I wake up to the sound of fucking Gollum right next to my head, screaming at Bilbo. When I checked the narrator, it was Andy Serkis. I had Andy screaming with the Gollum voice in my ears at 2am. lol
My audio book versions of the Hobbit and all three LotR novels are narrated by Andy Serkis. After hearing him do The Hobbit, I knew what I had to do. Still slowly working my way through the full LotR novels
I have to watch Rogue One again to contextualize Cassian but I don't have access to the streaming account anymore... I really wanna see how watching the show changes how you see him in Rogue One
I think my whole takeaway is, in Rogue One, he and Jyn are like not really romantically involved but they hug at the end. Audiences expect a romance; Rogue One deliberately didn't deliver. Which I like, and having watched Andor, his relationship with Bix. Cassian and Jyn just died together. He never got back to Bix

I'm so tired of all the late night shows being used only as political drama machines

I want the entire LotR cast at Stephen's send-off
darthstormer
Cate Blanchett: the show is changed. I feel it in the studio. I feel it by the water cooler. I smell it by craft services.

I always love Stephen's "oh my god, it's really happening" grin.
BananaForScaIe
That he's involved in the new movie is so cool haha.

RHI they were looking at him to play Tom Bombadil in the next movie.

wow, this is how I am going to hear every trump tweet now

Colbert marking out for anything LOTR-related never gets old.

My mom is 84 and does a dead wringer impression of Gollum, all 98 pounds and 5'0 of her. Hilariously creepy and adorable.
DwayneTheCrackJohnson
Starbolt81
It'll be interesting to see his contributions to Squadron 42, he's apparently the main Vanduul antagonist in the story (voice and mocap performance)

It’s been 14 years. Are they FINALLY releasing this game or are we kicking the can another 5 years down the road?
Starbolt81

My favourite role of his was Renoir in Clair Obscur
Croaked
He fucking nailed it. Absolutely smashed that role. No one could have done it better.
InternetAnonymityplz
Yeah, I've always been a fan of his but wow, Renoir was next level.
Discoikungshamn
I didn’t need sound, just could imagine the sound he made from the expressions in the movements.

I just finished binging Andor. No reason trying to pick my favorite Serkis role, I'm just going with Andor. One way out https://media0.giphy.com/media/v1.Y2lkPWE1NzM3M2U1OWQ3cG5pbnN2d2U3OGozZjlzM3luMnd1NHoyaGt3bGZ3dzN0YTFyeSZlcD12MV9naWZzX3NlYXJjaCZjdD1n/2aRqaOoIqYP0jmbcKD/200w.webp

Do you need to watch any other series before Andor?
whatdidyoucallme001
I watched all of Andor, then Rogue One, then A New Hope. It was amazing doing it that way!
GravyEducation
No, it's literally a prequel to the movie Rogue One, which you don't need to see first. The Big Bad from R1 shows up but the whole thing is standalone
bittenicht39
This episode also contains the magnificent monologue about sacrifices by Stellan Skarsgård. Great writing.

I think I just about have it memorized, I've watched it so many times

Andor had no business being that good

He's still boring don't worry
Doesn't detract from Andor though!
