WhistlinDiesel is a popular YouTube series starring Cody Detwiler.

https://youtube.com/@whistlindiesel?si=8jL8KaixM4w5z-yl

The Tesla Cybertruck is not legal to drive on public roads in the UK, in many other places. Among other things it's a matter of safety standards, including issues with sharp, angular, stainless-steel edges (failing to meet pedestrian protection rules).

Seems like a lot of needless work. If he wanted to ruin it, he only needs a sponge, a bucket, some water, and soap.

Do a Rivian!

4 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

They wont, it wouldn't be good content. JerryRigEverything bought a rivian, that should tell you something.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I remember if you're in an NPR some guy bought a cyber truck and no one in New York would insure it he couldn't sell it because of the agreement when you buy one and so he had to pay for storage in New York City

I've got to be honest, the only thing keeping me from treating parked Teslas like this on a more frequent basis is the fact that they record their surroundings while the owners are away. The good news is that they also have blind spots that you could drive a truck (made of thrown rocks) though.

4 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

that doesn't seem right. i vaguely remember seeing footage being made in this supposed blindspot.
with 4 different models and a slew of refreshes, this might be inaccurate/out of date.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well, that image is five years old, maybe it's out of date?

Needs music?

If you believe this is an actual test and not click bait you're a bigger moron than people who bought a cyber truck.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Must have been satisfying.

Envy.

4 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Hey don't compare it to a little tykes car! I still have the cozy coup from when I was a kid and my kids play with it, those things are pretty tough.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I think it was per 100K .07 people died in Pintos .14 died in Cybertrucks due to explosions

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Twice the danger for 10 times the price. What a deal!

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

WhistlinDiesel is a fuckstick.

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

wtf did they expect? its a expensive go cart. Its not even made with real metal. also a go cart is more reliable then that piece of shit.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Whistlindiesel, the guy who did that forex scam? No thanks.

4 months ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 1

The asshole who, allegedly, burned that ferrari for the content and almost caused a huge fire and didn't even pay taxes on it.

4 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Never forget the time a crashed Cybertruck trapped kids inside who burned alive: https://www.kron4.com/news/technology-ai/cybertruck-trapped-piedmont-college-students-who-burned-to-death-new-lawsuits-claim/

4 months ago | Likes 138 Dislikes 1

And nothing of value was lost

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 9

That is a feature of all Teslas tho... esp the cheaper models that don't have manual overrides unless you pull off a door panel and yank a cable.

4 months ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

Musk ended 17 stock fraud investigations I to him using DOGE, the real reason it was there. Who knows how many cybertruck investigations he ended, too. Fucking massively corrupt, musk should be guillotined in public, his father too who is a Putin loyalist

4 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Same thing happened to my wife's cousins 35 years ago in a Dodge. Seat belt and doors both jammed.

4 months ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 3

Sometimes, we do it to ourselves. Many new cars have retracting flush door handles and very fancy innards that don't have obvious manual unlocks if the electronic parts fail.

I understand flush door handles gives a boost to aerodynamics and thus mileage, but I can't believe it's enough to arrant the loss in accessibility and safety. ๐Ÿ™

Stuff gets replaced with new tech, not because it's better, but because some engineer could and marketing went "wow!"

4 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

If only technology had moved forward to prevent these things. :(

4 months ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

And yet heโ€™d still suck off Musk if given the chance.

4 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

When he tore the mirror off by hand, I actually laughed. It should not be possible to tear apart a truck with bare hands. Yeah, he slammed the doors harder than normal use, but that shouldn't be enough to destroy the door. Most cars on the road could have their doors slammed that hard with no damage.

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I love how closing the door firmly jist shatters it entirely. True Musk-Quality. As shit as everything else he is tied to but his Daughter.

4 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Dude is currently out on bond for tax fraud and is also kind of a loser.

4 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

The fuck. Don't give this MAGA motherfucker any clicks, ffs.

4 months ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 1

Can we do that, but for EVERY MAGA?

4 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I drive an Mk2 Golf GTi. I'm quite sure that car is more robust than the Tesla Trash Tanker.

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And a hell of a lot better looking. Probably quicker and more efficient too. Not to mention more fun.
You probably don't get flipped off nearly as much either.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They're so shoddily built that, if you slam the door, you can't get it open again without completely destroying it. And these things cost like $100k.

4 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Don't forget whistling diesel was arrested because the government in Tennessee is saying he registered a vehicle in Montana to avoid Tennessee's fees. Said vehicle was destroyed in Texas I believe. Unknown if it ever even entered the borders of tennessee.

4 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Cybercuck is shit, but this YouTuber is an asshole. They're both shit.

4 months ago | Likes 121 Dislikes 2

Yeah but he's hilarious

4 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 26

Hilarity is not a free pass to support a racist, genocidal, and pedophile-filled party.

4 months ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

A hilarious asshole is still an asshole and deserves to be treated as an asshole.

4 months ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

Hasn't it already been proven several times over that these trucks are shit?

4 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Yeah. This is an older video, from a couple of years ago.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Honestly, I think the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe is tougher. Those boogers can take a beating.

4 months ago | Likes 155 Dislikes 1

And the people who "drive" those have the same maturity level as a cyberdumpster driver

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Came here to say the same. Our lil Tykes got beat all to hellnbach. Still worked.

4 months ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

When i was a kid I rode one down a staircase. Miracously I was fine and of course the coupe was fine

4 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

They won't spontaneously explode either

4 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

When we were kids, we took turns riding the Little Tykes down the 11' slide in our backyard (this is what I thought "boys will be boys" meant). Took a beating, and so did we, but no major damage to anyone or thing involved

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's supposed be what we mean by "boys will be boys". I like to see us get back to that. Fight the good fight! Be the change you want in the world.

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

WhistlinDiesel is fighting the fight. That^ video is the real "boys will be boys"

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So true

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My brother pushed me into a pool when I was like 12 and squeezed into one. Almost drowned, but eventually got out. Cybertruck, i would have died if was pushed into a pool.

This is the Mad Max cozy coupe!

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I call it the cranky coupe. I built it for my friends' kid's birthday.

Look on the bright side. If you crash into a lake, it will protect you by locking all the doors & windows so your corpse remains beautifully well-preserved.

Sontar-ha!
Sontar-ha!

4 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

So I can have one last cigarette. That's nice

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you take a Cybertruck thru a carwash you void the warranty, so I doubt you would be well preserved.

4 months ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

Only if you put it in carwash mode, otherwise islts not even waterproof

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean... no it lets in all the water :P

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

1 Less Cybertruck owner out there. Win/Win

4 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Any EV with electric door latches is a death trap, especially now that new cars have to have laminated side glass (in USA, at least)

4 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

I really doubt it's waterproof, so you'll still be a bloated pos

4 months ago | Likes 77 Dislikes 0

Judging by some of the panel gaps I've seen on some of them, they're going to fill up very quickly.

4 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

... and I took that personally ...

4 months ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

You mean the ashes will be well preserved because the interior will catch fire.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Too bad there isn't a department to regulate transportation that could of enforced safety and compliance standards to ensure the vehicle would be safe in an emergency.

4 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Yeah but who needs extra bullshit regulations on anything, right?
I mean, it's not like anyone whose first priority is to impress their peers by spending a ridiculous amount on a trendy piece-of-crap vehicle would care about its safety specs or the amount of detail they'd have to read about in the manual so they don't make a fatal mistake their first day out. That's disregarded faster than a grammar section, which was once a required part of our traditional English curriculum.

* could have

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fear not! There's a manual release... in a completely unintuitive location... that you're unlikely to be aware of without sitting down and reading the entire manual cover to cover. So you're got a fighting chance! Your buddy in the backseat, not so much...

4 months ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 0

'but it covers us legally?'

4 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I really like it on my car that the door lock and door handle are obvious and easily operated, even if you are in a panic. Sometimes, instead of asking if a thing can be done (fancy modern / "futuristic" design), we need to ask if it should be done. Fancy art projects that sit on someone's shelf: fine to experiment wildly. Truck that drives on the road: don't get too wacky.

4 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I prefer doors that easily lock from inside but can't slam shut when locked as they require a key to lock from the outside which prevents locking the keys in the car (old Toyotas had that). Also prefer roll handle windows to electric, & please don't ever put a motorized tailgate on any car I drive. Simpler is better. Who the hell decided every time I hit the drivers window button, it has to automatically open/close all the way? I hate that.
The more control they take away the less I like it.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

With the automatic windows, usually a light press will give you more control over how much the window opens or closes while a full press will open/close completely, but I feel you

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That almost works about 50% of the time, but venting the window a tiny bit is so much more of a struggle than it needs to be IMO.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Whistlin Diesel? The incel that imported a russian mail order bride and then gets butthurt when anyone points out what a pathetic loser he is?

4 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Musk's WHOLE thing now is "yeah the cars suck. Whatever, we're a SPACE/ROBOTZ company now LOLZ!"

4 months ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

What's next though, given that those two also suck?

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

im all for hating on elon musk, but spacex doesnt suck. they have done amazing and groundbreaking stuff with their rockets.

i honestly cannot imagine someone informed on the topic thinking they suck, unless you just have a totally different definition or something?

Something Something broken clock

4 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

What I get from this is that the cybertruck's dogshittiness transcends stupidity.

4 months ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

He can be wrong about politics and right about the cyber truck. Even Adolf was good to his dogs.

4 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

First anit smoking campaign
First real animal rights laws
Built the autobahn
Drastically reduced unemployment (though that may be for other reasons)

If only Adolf wasn't such a homicidal maniac who killed millions of innocent people

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hes also a spoiled rich kids who just smashes stuff on the internet for fun.

4 months ago | Likes 65 Dislikes 0

It's called "content creation" nowadays.

4 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I thought "content creation" was just putting your face over an existing video and pointing and nodding.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's a diverse field that ultimately boils down to burning money and/or making faces.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

loved his videos on the Toyota hilux

4 months ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 5

Some rando youtuber however will never compare to the Top Gear attempt to kill a diesel hilux.

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

he did kinda try.. saw what the usa uses could do.. did the same to the hilux.. exceeded the usa ones if I recall right

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

There's a reason that they're so loved, for whatever work you set them to.

4 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

You should check out the Top Gear episodes on the Toyota Hilux, they go all out on it, having it on top of an exploding building and go traverse the Artic.

4 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

God I wish we could get those in the United States

4 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

A possible tiny silver lining of this mushroom cloud of an administration is iirc the Hilux isn't here because of emissions standards. The anti-regulation & anti- climate science doofasses might make it legal in the US. Of course they'll probably enshitify it like Ford has with the new Craptors.

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

My understanding is to do with the chicken tax

4 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I looked it up, you're right. I hadn't heard of it, thanks. It looks like the Tacoma is the enshitified US version.

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yup, my brother was a mechanic for Toyota & we have talked about it many times.
