This is awesome. Had a flashback of the horrible, itchy hospital underwear.

My wife just gave birth and was feeling pretty bad about herself so I showed this to her and it really lifted her spirits. Love it!

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

That blood jelly net ball thing looks really weird. No one ever mentions that.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Wife and I want no part of that at all. She doesn't want to deal with the empty cavern that used to be her vagina. Seems unpleasant.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I wish someone warned us that about three days post-partum those pregnancy hormones bottom out and emotional wreck ensues.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Do the cowboy walk. Tends to happen when your insides have been torn apart.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I bought depends to wear after my c-sec. Best decision ever. Real underwear hurt. Fake underwear was stretchy and disposable.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yup, never knew the moment I stood up I'd leave a puddle trail of blood on the floor. I had a 2nd degree episiotomy, but was stitched up.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I don't find it uncomfortable and as long as both the husband and wife are okay with posting this more power to them. :)

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

I am impressed that lady is even standing. I didn't move much for about a week.

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

My BF's sister walked to the hospital, gave birth within an hour, and walked back home with the baby that same day.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That is insane. I drove myself in labor but I was not about to drive back haha. I had a real bad tear but still.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As my Boyfriend put it at the time "that baby just waterslid out."

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Added to the list of "reasons to not have a baby"

10 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 1

Yeah, plus you have to be brave to have a baby

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is great! I agree not enough is shared about postpartum.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Meanwhile dad is stoned af.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Even if you have a c section you still get to wear these awesome diapers. And I really do mean awesome...stocked up before we left.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Theres nothing beautiful about childbirth. Its just a natural mess

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Giant mom diaper is for the 3 weeks of period blood that comes after giving birth

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

It usually lasts around 3-6 weeks, sometimes 8.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think its more for the frozen pads for swelling. There's a lot of blood but not enough to need a diaper. At least I didn't have that much

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I hated those diapers.

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Wow, I know many people with kids and no one has ever said this was a thing. Thanks for posting!

10 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

I tell every girl I can how horrific child birth is. They must be warned.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

So, after Santa and sex there are even more adult secrets I didn't know about. Ew.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The ole postpartum ice pack on the cooter move. Solid!

10 years ago | Likes 277 Dislikes 4

With aloe vera and witch hazel on a pad in the freezer. I loved my padsicles.

10 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 1

YESSSS!!!!! add an egg crate to sit on and that was my jam

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Saved my life after my daughter was born.

10 years ago | Likes 55 Dislikes 1

Oh my gosh those ice packs felt SO DAMN GOOD until they got warm and they felt bad but then you put a new one on and feel so good again!

10 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 3

I know childbirth is bad but you guys are scaring me even more than I already was scared

10 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

It is super scary, and in the middle you want to quit but you can't, but in the end you get this little meat bag you love more than the pain

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

this. it's horrific and genuinely scary, but damn the product is soooooo wonderful.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

you're not alone! there is some TRAUMA that area takes during birth. TRAUMA

10 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 1

I'm due in 19 days and I'm planning to steal these from the hospital

10 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

Don't forget to ask for the little water squirt bottles too! Just think of peeing amidst all of that damage. Trust me. Water bottles.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Take all the ice packs u can stuff in a bag. Good news - u should only need mom diaper for 1 or 2 days

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

When my son was born I missed those pads. I will steal more this time

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

They'll give em to ya! Have a good time!!!!

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It'll be a life saver!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

freezing a diaper works pretty well too

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Make some! That's what I did and they were WONDERFUL! Just take a super maxi and put water or witch hazel on it and stick it in the freezer.

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Good to know, you may have just saved my life

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

As a guy putting something called witch hazel on your vag seems, ... Satanic?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

they scooped the afterbirth out of my wife like they were gutting a blood red pumpkin. it was the weirdest thing I've ever witnessed...

10 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

beside Trump running for president.

10 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 2

At least she can still stand. When my wife tried that after giving birth, she just fainted. She then decided to stay in bed a little more.

I didn't know I could bleed that much! Periods were no preparation.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Not at all. :(

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

the nurses had to help me stand about 12 hrs after baby, i passed out the moment i stood and had to be given blood.

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

I got confused at first by the photo cause it looked like husband was in the medical bed and I was surprised the mother was up.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Second kid my wife did sans-drugs (not by choice, but by happenstance), she got up and cleaned the room after.

10 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

Two kids no drugs. By chioce

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I gave birth with no drugs. Couldn't stand up for 2 days w/o getting dizzy/throwing up. Yay bloodloss!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

same here! when you don't do the drugs, you can do a lot more after.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

not that you *should*

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My first I went without pain meds and was up in no time. The nurses kept commenting on it.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Endorphin's are a hell of a drug (cocktail)

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

More of this needs to be posted. Yeah it's gross, but this is nature and we need to know. Thanks op. :)

10 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Having a baby isn't beautiful, it's a fucking horror show.

10 years ago | Likes 73 Dislikes 4

Done it twice, will be doing it a third time early next year. It's the most beautiful thing in the world.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 6

On my third. It's pretty gross.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Oh yeah, it is. But still beautiful.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Beauty is in the eye (vag?) of the beholder. If birth is gross and ugly to you, other people thinking otherwise doesn’t change or negate that

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It is the most beautiful most disgusting thing in the world and they are worth all of it which is amazing

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 4

I wore post partum "diapers" for about a month. I figured stuff could get crazy but nobody talks about it and hate it when I do. :P

10 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 0

I'm due in two weeks. What brand diaper did you like??

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

After the hospital stuff ran out I used Depends. I had a second degree laceration and some other things so you might not need them.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Hospital will let you take as many diaper pads as you want. Snatch as many as you can.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Oh good to know. I was about to stock up beforehand!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You can talk to me! I'm due in October and I NEED TO KNOW THESE THINGS.

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

I'm due in October as well and I've started looking into the dark side of postpartum. I'll probably sound like a plastic bag when I walk.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I am due to give birth in two weeks, this terrifies me

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I remember that moment when I realized the baby had to actually come out. Through my vagina.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's the panic part I'm at nkw

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don't let it -- it's really not a big deal... and I only needed the "diaper" for a day or 2. U will be fine!!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They're making me have a c section cus baby is breech but apparently you still wear the mamma diaper

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I hope everything goes well and that you and baby are good!! ^_^

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Thank you!! I'm very nervous! It's my first so I don't know what to expect and I really didn't want a c section but que cera

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Both natural and C-section seem so scary... Seriously you are so tough!! I hope the hospital is good to you and that it all goes well!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Afterword you will feel like the queen warrior because you just did that shit. I used to be shy but now IDGAF- I know what I can do now.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was shy until all the Drs and nurses start tickling your cervix weekly

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm pretty sure I'd have no problem showing my cooter off to anyone anymore. Not gonna but I could if I wanted.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not to mention the assless hospital gowns!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

True! I spent most of my stay on the bed because of 2nd degree lacerations but walking to the bathroom let it all hang out, diaper and all.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't forget to take your stool softeners! I cannot stress this enough.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Do you take them after the c section or before?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So much easier. I knew what to expect. I wish someone told me of all the not so fun stuff the first time around. 2/2

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

After. Take them with your pain meds. I had 2 c sections. First was after 16 hours of labor and 4 hours of pushing. 2nd was planned and 1/

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is it true I won't be able to get out of a chair and walk for a week?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No. You will be able to get up once you have feeling in your legs and they take the cath out. You will be sore but the more you walk 1/

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Beginning. Have a small pillow that you can hug if you need to cough. Don't overdo it. You'll know if you need to slow down. Congrats! 3/3

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Around the better. My youngest will be 1 in 2 weeks. We were walking the boardwalk a week later. Stairs can be a little painful in the 2/

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm due in september. I'm buying depends and making padsicles.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The inside of a diaper works great for an ice pack. Cut it out, soak it in water, and pop it in the freezer. Lasts longer than the pop bags.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

WITCH. HAZEL.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

FUCKING YES.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What do you do with witch hazel? I'm due in November...

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

All of my mom friends said it's a blessing for spraying after you go to the bathroom, and especially if you have stitches

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You'll basically be burning down there, so get a spray bottle for water to clean with and a spray bottle of witch hazel to soothe

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

and definitely steal the peri bottle from the hospital if you can (instead of the water spray bottle)

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

After walking down a hospital corridor butt naked with the umbilical cord swinging between my legs...I approve. I also have no dignity.

10 years ago | Likes 51 Dislikes 1

I just strutted around my room naked since I had to breastfeed and those gowns are a pain to maneuver lol

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I think dignity goes out the window at the point where your cervix is being checked weekly

10 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

There is no such thing as dignity in L&D. A camera linked to international news could zoom in on my vag and I wouldn't have gave a shit.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

wow thats a mental image i never thought I'd have

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

forgive my ignorance, placenta and umbilical cord comes out all at once and is known as the afterbirth right? how long after does that take?

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

a few minutes or so after the baby is born, usually the doctor pushes a little bit and it come out on its own. Really weird feeling!

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

feel free to speak to me as though im a 12 year old boy in sex ed

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

pushes on what? im a guy, i understand birth but no one ever taught me about "the aftermath"

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's the sack that the baby lives in while in the uterus. It comes out after the baby it's like a plastic bag, but organic.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

yes the amniotic sac, is it like a sticky balloon in your whoopie place?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

lol read that wrong, thought you were 12! The doctor pushes on your stomach and pulls on the cord a little. and it comes out. its pretty

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

gross, but amazing at the same time, because that was the life source for your babys first 9 months. It could be done different now,

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

if someone had informed me about the weeks after birth, I would have never EVER gone through with my pregnancy. I wont be having a 2nd one.

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Jesus.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

did you have complications, if you don't mind me asking?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I have a tilted uterus and my child was slightly large, and I'm a small lady, my spine squished and i lost 3 inches of height,(now I'm 4'11)

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Well hopefully the kid is cool/sweet at least hmm?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

His shoulders would not go krooked so he came out both shoulders at the same time, tearing my vagina open to my asshole. 22 stiches. 4/?

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Holy sh!t

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i went into pre term labor @20 wks, but they were able to stop it. Then i had to be induced because he wouldn't come out. During labor 3/?

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I got PPD after birth. overall, i had many doctors tell me that my pregnancy was "quite normal" and i had "expected symptoms" to pregnancy.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Your doctors sound like they had zero bedside manner -- I'm so sorry you had to deal with all that.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

luckily my pre/post natal doc was amazing but the rest...eh.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

my skin on my abdomen and pubic area was so streched, my strech marks were actual cuts. My skin would pop open with fetal kicks. 2/?

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Holy granola, lady! That is brutal.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

My perspective as a dude, it was like a massacre at Disneyland, all that blood and destruction at the happiest place on earth

10 years ago | Likes 845 Dislikes 9

Perfect description

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Tell me about it. After we had our second daughter, it looked like a grenade went off down there. Holy moley, never doing that again.

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

It was a beautiful mess, but damn if it didn't change how I view a vagina.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I just got a vasectomy recently to avoid this exact situation.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

How many years before you tell the wife you two can stop trying to get pregnant? "Honey, we just need to try as often as possible.."

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

and you can never go back without remembering the awful carnage you've witnessed..

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

It's like watching your favorite pub burn down.

10 years ago | Likes 81 Dislikes 1

Sweet bloody Christ.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Pretty much. Very angry red vagina for a long time lol and they sewed me back too small twice

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've had coworkers who loved to watch the colour drain from my face while telling me their birthing stories, they left that neat-O part out

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I am SO sorry. I just had grape sized hemorrhoids.

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Now that's really rough sex.

10 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

As a male.. HOLY SHIT I CANNOT EVEN IMAGINE.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mean sure I've been constipated to the point of laying 4 pound bricks in the toilet with the diameter of a fair sized peanut butter jar..

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But holy shit.. tearing stuff is no mas.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I ripped one of my lips in half

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wife nearly went hole-to-hole with our 1st...with 1/2 dose of Nubain only. Needless to say, 2nd one was C-Section and all the drugs.

10 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 1

I had an emergency c section with the third. They had to knock me out quick. They also tied my tubes. Nothing hurt more.

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Sorry you went through so much shit though. I remember just how bad my wife had it. Part of why I did all of the night feedings for both,(2)

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

How sweet!! Yeh I slept in a chair and did the feeding. But it was all set up for me so I was fine. Just extremely tired.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

1st one nearly made my wife bleed out. We made sure everything was 100% planned (minus the pregnancy itself...)for the next one. (1)

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

since she couldn't produce (and not for lack of trying or support either). Kids are hard...but I do love it when they smile.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I tore all the way forward. Luckily all important nerve endings remain very useful.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I DIDNT EVEN REALIZE THAT WAS AN OPTION

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Being induced gives you a short labor and your body doesn't have time to naturally open up for child birth. Sometimes shit goes crazy.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's possible? I've heard of the other way... never forward.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It is when induced & the child is forcibly taken out quickly because she was having problems but her head was already in the right place.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ouch... you are (or whoever experienced this) a strong amazing person.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0
