6 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

In my family we lost track of who owns what tupperware.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We used to have these. Last time i saw mums was 96 or 97

6 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

I don't get it

6 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

It's actual Tupperware, like the brand.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Does it have magical properties?

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My folks have these.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Does your mom know?...

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Woah that's old school. My grandma had like bits and pieces of 3 sets haha

6 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

The missing ones are off with missing socks somewhere

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Haha oh yeah this is great but my stupid freind doesn't get it.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

These were the go to tupperware containers in the 70s and 80s.

6 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

FYI denture bubble tablets clean Tupperware, spaghetti sauce, grease

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That bad boy gonna be worth something

A new hand touches the beacon!!

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

been in the freezer since 1978

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My mom still has a couple like that.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That’s gold. Hold onto that as long as you can.

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I give it a month before the lid goes missing

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He’s gonna get shit from your mom for doing that.

6 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

6 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Ohhh... lucky you; try having a Filipino mom and you will have a “I can’t believe it’s not butter” lunch container.

6 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

And cool whip containers.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Almost everything is not butter actually.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

almost...almost.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The contents aren't even lunch. Just "I can't believe it's not butter"

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

First they laugh because your family can’t afford tupperware and then they laugh cause it’s not even butter. Been there.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I assume your mom wasnt around or that wouldnt happen

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dont tell your mom. That's grounds for divorce. Straight. Up.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

They divorced when I was little. Probably why there isn't a complete set.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I've got my mom's old mustard yellow canister set from the 70s. God awful color, but it holds all my flour and sugar and kool-aid packets.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Charlie Chips?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My parents have both.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Very cool

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My grandma had these

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I dunno what that is. It's just an ugly yellow Tupperware set.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Brand of potato chips that used to sell in a a giant tin like flavored popcorn at Christmas.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ah. Well those are in metal cans, lol. Mine is Tupperware, like @OP's.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That’s your inheritance

6 years ago | Likes 338 Dislikes 0

What is Inheritance?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

6 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

Don't say I never gave you nothing

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It's precious. Do not microwave it.

6 years ago | Likes 1157 Dislikes 1

Unless it's one of the new ones

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

6 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Also. Do not pour hot popcorn in it.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Because popcorn is liquid.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You can pour a bowl of cereal, chips, water, these hands

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

And don’t put it in the dishwasher! Even on the top rack. I destroyed one of m my old flat mates vintage Tupperware by doing that.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My ribs would burn through that. I have burn many microwave safe bowls trying to reheat my ribs. Best to just store candy in it. ❤️

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mean, that's sad about your Tupperware and all, but ovens exist. Would probably be a better reheat for something like ribs.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I do not understand what this is

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 5

Genuine Vintage Tupperware.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He told me I can, just not with the lid.

6 years ago | Likes 203 Dislikes 6

Check the bottom for the wavy microwave lines. It’s also older style and won’t hold up to much microwave

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It won’t last, and yeah, toxic.

6 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

The sides bubble up pretty bad. My mom also had the mustard yellow which she microwaved spaghetti sauce in. Not pleasant to look at.

6 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

You spray plastic bowls with Pam before heating sauces. It’ll prevent them from staining.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don’t take the chance!!!

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I didn't know that, so I accidentally microwaved my boyfriends tupperware that he got from his dead grandma.. I died a little inside ?

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I love vintage, but older plastic food containers were manufactured before regulations were in place. That thing is toxic, especially when hot

6 years ago | Likes 277 Dislikes 2

Yikes. I feel like most of my childhood was eating microwaved leftovers out of those.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hey if the dr. don't care...

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

When you grew up eating reheated meals in these.

6 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

The toxins add to the nostalgic flavor....

6 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 1

Like my ex.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Smells like microwaved fish....

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Possibly mildly radioactive. I think it's the orange ones that are radioactive.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I thought that was ceramics. https://dustyoldthing.com/fiestaware-radioactive/

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Same with melamine!

We had like 20 margarine containers instead of normal Tupperware.

6 years ago | Likes 144 Dislikes 0

I was poor too

6 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 0

My parents use hummus pots. They’re not even poor. When I moved in with my now husband I couldn’t get over buying a whole new set of -

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

MATCHING tuppaware. People do that?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That takes me back.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I read this as 20 margarita containers...

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I use salsa containers. Have a drawer full of them.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Did your family buy the small ones or like the massive 4 liter ones??? We had the army sized... it was fucking gross

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My grandma would buy the massive ones in bulk, freeze them, and then portion them off in smaller margarine contained she collect. Nastyyyy

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yep, we had those GIANT Country Crock tubs. Never could just glance at them to figure out what was inside, it was a whole fridge operation.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My mom always used to put actual butter in those. Everyone would be like “wait a minute...IT IS BUTTER!”

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nowadays lunch meat comes in free tupperware and my mom has an entire cabinet full of the fucking things and I've never seen her use one.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I didnt know people actually used margarine. You're a unicorn

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I don’t remember ever consuming cool whip. Ever. But we had at least 3 containers.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

We don't. The containers...they just...appear.

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Bet you’re not even Hispanic! That is such a Hispanic household.I don’t know if we ever had coolwhip or margarine,But we had the containers

6 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 5

I don’t ever remember cool whip but we had so many of the tubs.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I do not ever remember consuming cool whip. Yet we had the containers.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's not a hispanic thing. It's a poor thing. I'm white and I save every container I can.

6 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

Me too! All grown up and makin’ it ok. I still save and use all of them.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Poor whitey northern Indiana. Same. It's a poor thing.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Poor southern Hispanic thing. Gotta admit, kinda embarrassed when my rich friends visited. Or hell, any friends visited.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No honey. It's a poor thing. All us poor folks did it. Yogurt, margarine, sour cream containers... it was a russian roulette of left overs

6 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Yogurt? Were you one of those rich-poor?/teasing. We never had yogurt. The men in our family wouldn’t eat it, I just realized. Huh.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And it was never the original! Rice? Beans? Fried pork? Never dessert, though.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Always rice. So. Much.rice

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes. And beans. Always beans.
