S4 - D-6 - French Army breakfast

Apr 24, 2022 6:51 PM

Hi.
This morning:
- a fruit salad (very tasty, made here wit some local fruits);
- brioche bread, or something like that. Sweet and tasty;
- scrambled eggs, not very good, but the needed protein;
- bacon, as the call it;
- gruyere slices;
- banana juice: first time I had some, what a day!

Have a good day.

Banana juice?!? I'm out

Spent four months serving with French ground combat troops in West Africa - can honestly say it was some of the best scoff I’ve ever eaten!

Mnagez-vous le fruit salad avec un fork? Bon chance with that mon ami!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Is that all??

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't know how to tell you this France but that's not bacon. It's not even ham. That's a thinly-sliced beetroot...

What do you do in the army if you can say it

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How many calories? And can you have more or is it a fixed ration?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That looks like shit, I'd surrender too! MRE's are better.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

That meat looks like flower petals

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I thought the meat was a garnish.

This reminds me of what Wes Anderson would have for breakfast

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Banana juice? Banana? WTF

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Yeah, nobody knows it?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No fiber to speak of. I'd have a hard time living on this for breakfast.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Keep trying to get my wife to try the banana juice from the grocer but she won't budge. Any good?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Looks bad, Todd

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

How do you juice a banana?

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

With passion!

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Banana juice? But how? Banana water and sugar?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Banana juice is great with strawberry and/or orange juice mixed in. Good job putting the French army on their toes now- GL !

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I had no idea you could milk a banana

4 years ago | Likes 68 Dislikes 1

Germans mix it with beer!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You can milk anything with nipples, really.

4 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 1

I have nipples. Can you milk me, Greg?

4 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

It's a watered down banana smoothie

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

It's a French thing. The US just started allowing that.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Wat

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh yeah, people do it regularly

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Ooooh! I missed you were doing this with a new army!

4 years ago | Likes 256 Dislikes 0

Yea. Wtf. Lol

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Can’t say I’ve ever had banana juice.

4 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

I literally grew up with banana trees in my backyard and never heard of banana juice until today.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I had it in New York it’s was really good a little thicker than I prefer juice though

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Just had it recently but it was evacuated from my bowels very quickly after that.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Well, the French army may not be new to you personally, but it's new for your Imgur army breakfast posts.

4 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Somehow I missed in all your prior posts you were with the French Army. c'est tellement embarrassant. (I hope my French is close, it’s been…

4 years ago | Likes 61 Dislikes 0

…about 25 years since my last French class)

4 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

I wouldn't be able to use such appropriately an another language after 25 years without practice, well done.

4 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Well, I gave some hints, but never said it.

4 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 0

I know these are French breakfasts because the cheese is always specifically named

4 years ago | Likes 144 Dislikes 1

And never referred to as cheese, just a name.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It's of the uttermost importance, you can't understand this visceral feeling of having to respect cheese.

4 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 1

went to france, nice dinner. waiter brought a cheese tray. one in group groaned&covered his mouth when the lid was slid back. damn near got…

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

kicked out because of him. ALWAYS RESPECT THE CHEESE.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

They were being nice, otherwise it might have been an ass whooping.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

When it comes to cheese the French do not play, yet eat less of it than the US. Quality over quantity I guess.

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

It's just that one guy's daily cheeseburger that raises the average US daily amount

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Those eggs look sad @op.

4 years ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 0

Laughs in USN...
