Efforts like this would have been in museums about 50 years ago. Only major difference is that the museum item would be made from clay.

Probably not. In older times painting and sculpture were considered a craft like any other. You can read historic reports about artists complaining about it. And in the present days, I've seen several paintings with tons of detail, created using extremely refined techniques, that are considered low value because "they're just mannerist" and "not transformative".

He's a ratling. Abhumans, basically space hobbits. The space dwarfs are the kin, also abhumans. Or as their collective nation is called, they're the Leagues of Votann. Squats are specifically the Ironhead Prospectors (a type of kin) from Necromunda. Here's some other ratlings with a tank-stopper lasgun that maybe shows their hobbit inspiration better:

IIRC the symbol he's wearing is the imperium symbol for medic/ red cross equivalent. Treat your Ratling support crew with dignity and respect and they will move heaven and earth for you. And feed you well to boot. Sadly most regiments don't.

Kind of odd to have red cross equivalent when there is no equivalent of Geneva Convention in wh40k. It's just designating a priority target to everyone (except Necrons and Tyranids who don't care either way).

When I was a kid there was this exchange student that stayed with 3 different families. I don't know what happened with families 1 & 3, but I know with family 2 one of the incidents was using the older brother's Warhammer paint brush set to clean his sneakers.

I forget where I first saw it, but the first time I noticed a video game using the same technique for objects in an area whose lighting was never going to change I wasted ages walking around looking at the textures to see how they'd done it lol
