To see 20 I looked at the feet. Determined which foot was left or right. Looking at the forward foot (left) and following it up, you can tell that the shadow on his leg perfectly matches the shadow on the rear leg. Dude still has some skinny ass legs. But it’s a wacky shot even if you understand it!

#11 The hat guys shirt just happens to have a contour that fits the other guys chin making it look like his head is closer. #14 from what I read just looks like a large sink because of the faucet. #29 took me a while but, the guy is looking right and just beyond his nose is a portion of the guys face behind him. Cover the parts to the top right of the nose to see the face as it should look.

I can explain #19. Look at the feet, you see two. From there, look to the knee, and you'll see that there's a shadow on the right leg. But I don't understand the other pictures either.

yeah, I did notice the leg under the other, but still, I kept seeing the amputation when the shadow starts. And I still see it now, I have to concentrate on the shirt in the foreground, which intersects with the shadow, to see the whole leg as a single piece. Part of the shin is covered by the T-shirt that is lying on the table in front of it. This line and the shadow line coincidentally match. And in the shadow area of the leg you can see the leg hair. And thanks for pointing out the other pictures.

(1/2) #11 The old guy's shirt just happens to crumple in such a way that the younger guy's chin fits the contour so it looks like his face is between the camera and shirt. #19 The shadow makes it look like his right leg is amputated, but that's his leg and not the shirt under his other leg. #20 The shadow on his forward (left) leg matches his rear (right) leg's contour, so they look skinny and flipped. #21 Kid's right leg is bent behind the left leg, left leg is hidden behind the top step.

I did not think about the crumple on #11. #19 I could see the leg under, but the front, still makes it look like the leg is amputated, I still see it now and I have to concentrate to see the leg as a whole. #20 I could grasp the shadow matching the colour of the other leg, but I find his legs tremendously thin compared to the rest, I guess it's just how he is

I still don't get #19! The leg still looks too narrow below the 'amputated' part and it can't be the knee bend because it's too far down.

It's because the folded shirt on the table in the foreground is covering the lower part of the shadowed portion of the leg. The shirt being brisht white, also having a corner in the exact point where the shadow starts, makes the shadowed part to be less noticeable (somehow the shirt is stealing the attention of your brain)
