My favorite trivia is that The Island was involved in a plagiarism lawsuit. It was shockingly similar in concept to Parts: The Clonus Horror, a cheesy B-movie made famous by getting riffed on Mystery Science Theater 3000. The movie was so forgotten, the creators of it didn't even know that Michael Bay ripped them off. It was a fan of MST3K that saw both movies that brought it to their attention, so they sued and eventually they won when it was settled out of court.

My favorite question is stuff like "what if you came home and found a copy of yourself?" Like, that'd be weird but fine. I'm me, I know how I'd want me to treat myself and how I'd want to treat me on both sides of that hypothetical there is zero reason I wouldn't just team up with myself to make both our lives easier forever.
My clone is functionally indistinguishable from me up until our experiences diverged, and then they're still me in any way that matters. I take care of me.

I met the director once. I asked if he has heard comparisons with the movie Sunshine (2007) at all (one of my favorite movies) and he said one of the songs he put in the movie may or may not be an Easter egg allusion to the film. :)

Every time someone brings up Moon I remember how I borrowed it from the library, so excited to have found a fun sci-fi to watch. That was a lot of years ago and I still wake up in the night sometimes and it runs through my mind. I’m glad I saw it but it didn’t make me feel good.

I would add to this list: Oblivion, The Game, Oldboy (Korean), Shutter Island, Prestige, Illusionist, 6th sense, Predestination and probably a few more I can't recall right now. A good surprising twist is a gem.

The Game is such a great film! Didn't think the sixth sense was that great (but a lot of the directors other stuff, like The Village, is underrated) - haven't seen any of the others yet

Yeah, this is one of those. I usually try to guess the twist in movies, and I like to think I'm pretty good at it, but this movie had me so wrapped up in the character that I was barely even trying to think ahead. So good. And Sam Rockwell is a treasure.

I love movies with a good thought out twist. One of my favorites is The Usual Suspects. It's old now but, damn, when I first saw it.

I was so surprised and upset at myself for figuring the twist out in The Usual Suspects within the first 10-15mins of the movie. The very opening sequence shows someone peeing, and I thought the stream looked off. Then a character rambles nervously about a condition they have and--op, there it was.

You know, when you put it like that, I could totally see it being interpreted that way. My brain just connected two dots really quickly, and once that happened, I couldn't unsee the possibility, if that makes sense.
