Not only blind, left him with shrapnel 6mm from his aortic artery. They denied him medical treatment after dragging him away by his hoodie hood.

Uncomfirmed from multiple sources but I read one of the ICE agents joked that "you're going to lose an eye"

The agent aimed at his face. It should be a crime.

Where are your goddamn 2nd amendment guns you were collecting to fight the tyrannical government?

6 months ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 5

A large number of people against ICE are also against civilians having guns. They keep asking where everyone else with guns are. The people who were loudest about the 2a are the ones in this video with the guns. Yet still to this day Democrats are putting forth legislation to disarm civilians.

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

They've changed over to the "comply or die" crowd.

This is so fucking unreal. All the while you'll see Kristi Noem and Donald Trump giving it a thumbs up and saying that this poor kid deserved to be permanently blinded in one eye because... "disrespect."

Karma? You're taking too damn fucking long.

6 months ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

I think this is the karma coming back on us. People spend more time posting hateful comments at each other than spending time with their friends and looking into their faces and seeing how they are doing. We've become an absolutely deranged society.

6 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

This is 100% true the American people have failed at keeping a tyrant from power cus they are all waiting for someone else to do something

I will never, ever, ever respect, or forgive, anyone who attempts to justify what is happening right now in any way. Anyone who is trying to "both sides!" this insane bullshit is a fascist. No, that's not just name calling. No, that's not just hyperbole. What's happening is fascism. Those trying to justify it are siding with fascists. Literally. That's it.

6 months ago | Likes 223 Dislikes 6

What bonus? They'll never get it — they have to stay on board for five years and I have a feeling most won't make it six months.

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Black Panthers are finally showing up in force, but they don't need to be the only ones.

Don't even have to fire a shot. Show up armed at these protests. DO NOT brandish, just stand there menacingly. Show these pants-shittingly insecure bullies they aren't the only ones with teeth.

and invest in bulletproof vests.

6 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

For sure. A quality plate setup isn't all that expensive, and besides, the more you look like them, the more likely some of the untrained morons might end up hesitating in confusion.

Just make sure you don't wear or carry anything you aren't trained with or prepared and capable of using if necessary. Being as untrained as they are is just going to add more danger to the situation.

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sign on bonus that kicks in after 5 years of service.

6 months ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 0

They will never make it that long

6 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It is actually a bonus of "up to" $50,000. Similar to when there is a sale somewhere with "up to" 50% off.

6 months ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Is it really? Can you sauce me? I have been wondering about this

6 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It is in all of their documentation. "Up to a 50k sign on bonus". Someone linked the PDF file from the ICE recruitment site a few days ago that I had read.

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

That is completely at odds with the definition of 'sign on', and more a retention bonus. Idiots won't know the difference though. Is that a true though?

6 months ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 0

My understanding was that it's a $50,000 signing bonus, but it comes in $10,000 installments each year for the first five years. I don't know where they're getting their info, but to be fair, I don't remember where I heard mine either

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That is specifically how it works. Notice it’s 5 years. One year longer than the “term” of the president who offered it.

6 months ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

Oh good when they don't get paid they'll blame the democrats

6 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Thank God

6 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

The way it works in the military is you get a portion of your sign on right way, usually capped at $10,000 from there you get annual installments until you complete your contract with the final total being whatever you were promised. If you don't complete your contract you keep what you got so far but forfeit the rest. From what I've read it looks like ICE uses a similar system.

Every empire eventually falls, it's weird seeing it happen in real time. We had a good(?) run. Hopefully something better rises from it's ashes

6 months ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

I just didn't think it would fall this quickly.

And then you realize that the Republican Party were gearing up for this over decades. Barack Obama becoming president was their tipping point. They're like "the majority elects a black man as president? It's the law straw. We're done with democracy."

6 months ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Been saying this for a while. Started with the Tea Party idiots. Seeing a (half) black man in the white house just broke them. The last civil war veteran died in the 1950s which means there were enough of them still around to poison the youth born in the 30s/40s. And THOSE people were predominately running the country in the late 2000s.

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think globalization played a big part in it for many- as many good things came out of it there were also lots of losses of jobs, and then addiction issues fueled by it. Pair that with the housing crisis and everyone's like the system isn't working for me, time to burn it all down! (Instead of like, let's fix it)

6 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Yeah, but Republicans were making major profits on globalization...

6 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It was a good run

6 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

It was not. A country built on land theft, genocide, slavery, apartheid, and the birthplace of Nazism from where Pre-Nazi Germany took its notes. If Americans want to come out of the dark ages and ensure their kids don't grow up in a Nazi dictatorship, they need to grow a collective spine and rise up.

6 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 8

Appreciate the sentiment, but my kids are breed ambassadors

6 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Imagine how much better USA could've been by now as a country if its People had a collective spine, and learned from history instead of repeating the worst parts. If they were a People who would fight tooth and nail to protect their children from growing up in a Nazi dictatorship. If even ten percent of their 350 million were like this, USA wouldn't be the fascist cesspit we see now, and we wouldn't have to fear for our children going to war to defend the Free World from the Americans.

6 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 9

Their culture is too narcissistic and blind of pride for themselves and their flag/nation.
It's like a child telling in school how strong of a fighter his dad is just to sell himself better, while being beaten at home by the same violent dad. Not cool USA. Not cool.
It may turn out better eventually - after they drag half of the world through the mud, while spitting at everyone just to keep their ego.

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Blaming it on "the people" elides the fact that a small group worked for decades to bring us here: allowing the free flow of money into politics, packing the courts, building and buying media platforms, gerrymandering districts and limiting voting. Trump isn't an accident: he's the flower of the Federalist Society dream.

6 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Social media gave people a soap box to say their piece. Once they’re done they’re no longer “angry” enough to act on it.

6 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

Indeed. We saw the plethora of "Punch a Nazi" slacktivist memes from Americans who likely did nothing else to actually stop their Nazis from taking over. Many didn't even get off their asses to vote against their Hitler.

6 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 6

There are four of them, and if each had to take on one protestor they would be vulnerable. America needs to get madder and rougher.

6 months ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 1

Deadlier!

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Most of the time we outnumber them. They need to be piled on and hurt, bad.

6 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Nah, when you start "hurting" them they start shooting indiscriminately. Just kneel on them how they like to do to minorities, poc, and generally anyone they don't like. We need a way to disarm and subdue them without injury (I know without injury is something foreign to them).

6 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I am not confident focusing on disarming would work. But I do know they're gigantic pussies and showing up in force at least appearing ready to fight back would discourage them and avoid more situations. And if not, well ideally again they'd be surrounded. We need numbers. When ICE is spotted the herd has to come together, we HAVE to look out for each other. When apprehending perps there's 1 or 2 badges keeping watch, you've seen them do it and when they do they're scared as shit. This is why /

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

you see them lash out at that point at anyone remotely nearby. They don't even want you within ten feet and will false charge or push you. They can't do this when surrounded. Which is why at this point they've called reinforcements, and why it's important we act as soon as ICE is spotted doing anything and do whatever it is we need to do before more pigs show. Dogpile. Grab their belts, rip them off, get their gear and toss it and start stomping. Don't stop until you hear something break.

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

they shoot when their feelings are hurt. If you want to fight them disarm them

6 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I will not buy American products anymore as much as I possibly can.

You are living in a fascist state and all of you are complicit in allowing it to happen.

I have as well, it's really shitty that theres a lot of US products that lie on their packaging as being Canadian. Loblaws and Nofrills aren't helping either with falsely tagging products as Canadian

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"all of you are complicit in allowing it to happen" Oh STFU there. This holier than thou "unless you're going on suicide missions against ICE you're allowing it" BS needs to stop.
Why did it take you 3 years to get rid of Milošević ? What were you personally doing during that time?

6 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 5

Also, Milosevic is not the same.
You are thinking about NDH - the Nazi puppet state created during ww2 that killed jews, serbs, and gypsies.

The Partizans were invented here and your military books teach our tactics on how to fight guerilla warfare based on what we, the people, did to the occupying nazi state.

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You are misinformed. The entire war lasted 3 years.
Our fathers were fighting it and my generation was cleaning up the post war crap.

We immediately fought as soon as our freedom was being threatened.
We bled for our freedom. You are standing there and watching it being taken away.

6 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

I think maybe you are misinformed. The Croatian War of Independence lasted almost 5 years. It started with attacks on Croatian police by Serbs. The people didn't fight the JNA in the streets, the military did.

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

The Croatian homeland war started 1991 and ended 1994.
The diplomatic process lasted till late 1995 but the fighting was pretty much over about the time I was born.

You have obviously no clue about that war if you think the military was the only factor here.
Also a huge chunk of the military were volunteers.
Why are you not writing to your state governor to start a coalition and cut off from the fed govt?

6 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You have zero clue on what is happening in Russia.

They cant compare situations. The US citizens have enough guns to start ww3 on their own.

who the hell knows, honestly. I think we're all just lost right now. The people going to the streets and making noise, outnumbering the ICE agents are helping though. It might not seem like it but we've seen the cowards leave when there's enough opposition. They will get tired of the long hours, bad weather, hoards of people shouting at them. I don't know where it goes from here though

That's literally how journalism has worked in all of human history, and is an important part of the issue. You can't expect everyone to have the equipment and willingness to fight crazed gunmen.

6 months ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

It is important, but Americans do also need to grow a collective spine if they want to protect their children from growing up in a Nazi dictatorship.

6 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 7

6 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

People have been shot by ice several times before Renee Good, the difference being it wasn't as well documented on video. They have made the same arguments the other times to avoid accountability and it worked because the public didn't have the proof to refute it. We should be doing more, I agree, but the problem with decent people is we don't go shooting unless we are sure it's unavoidable -unlike ICE. These videos is how you get to real action.

6 months ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 1

If you hadn’t seen any recordings, what would you believe? How would you know anything?

It’s not the *only* thing to do, but recording the atrocities you witness is the only way the people will know what is happening. People see. Anger is growing. Resistance is mounting

Are you saying people shouldn’t record? What’s the alternative, just believe the states’ story?

6 months ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 1

no, people shouldnt record. they should shoot the people oppressing them, without recording video evidence. buy a shotgun. protect your neighbors.

Visibility is super important. Without the recordings of Good's murder you wouldn't have the protests we've seen since, and the more people you can get to a protest the more people you can organize to actually push back. People towing illegally parked ICE cars, groups of legally armed civilians standing their ground against ICE, agents being doxxed and made to feel unsafe in their homes.
But that's not happening if nobody can see what ICE is doing.

6 months ago | Likes 67 Dislikes 3

what have those protests accomplished so far? there has been no towing of illegally parked ice vehicles. the one video people reference is from july in california. ICE agent records are public info. it isnt doxxing if its freely available. all thats happened as a result of the Good video is that Ross has been made a right wing celebrity and is now rich. hes received thousands in donations.

6 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 22

A movement isn't made in a day. It feels like you didn't read my comment, because I explained what the protests accomplish. I didn't claim ICE cars are being towed, I mentioned it as an example of ways to push back. But next to nobody will push back alone, and the giant protests show that they're not alone. The protests don't usually effect immediate change, but they are an important step on the path to change. Stop being so defeatist.

6 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

In a country where journalists cover up the truth, its the sharing of video and information that is most important so peoppe are ready. Especially for those who feel them are safe from danger...

6 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

As a wise imgurian once said, and I'll never forget, if free speech online did nothing, they wouldn't be trying to stop it. This goes for cams too. The more there is, the harder it is to dispute. And side note, I don't like when people online go the route of argument "oh you're not doing anything" from an armchair. K let's put you on that street then. It helps no one to say "you're not doing enough." Allies don't say that. They provide substantial help. Peace y'all, from Minneapolis

6 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

6 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

and then what?

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

For one: it means someone is listening to you. As for ‘then what’, do you know HOW certain things become ‘viral’? By getting passed around the internet, by sharing it with others. Every ‘like’ pushes a video one step closer to the top of the page.

You wanna know why being a ‘keyboard warrior’ is so enticing? Because you can see the results of your efforts within a day or two.

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

How would anyone even be able to answer that if there wasn't people recording to know what happened. Don't move the goal post. Because the answer you seek varies from encounter to encounter. Context matters, but how would we have any context if no one recorded in the first place?

So ill ask you the same, what do YOU think should come next now that YOU know whats happening thanks to people recording?
