Cat hawg.
fiveshortgraybles
A stray cat that has only ever eaten prey. Tearing apart a small animal requires different technique to eating some dry ass rocks.
mdkynyc
Our cat does this. First cat I’ve ever had who creates a disaster zone around the food dish. God bless him be tried hard but needs a bib
Trustmeimadogtor
This is how boys take a bite of your food
Ilovetomakestuffup

EterniaRulez
In about 30 minutes you are gonna hear the huack huack of the cat and a pile of half digested food somewhere. Most likely you’ll find it by
Stepping on it. In the dark.
SuperUse
THERE IS NO WRONG WAY TO EAT!
VidaliaAndDjango
The Shoveler
Hobowithapurpose
Eats food like a P&H 4100 XPC eats dirt. (Very specific reference)
Imonheretoomuch2
More like when my wife wants a bite of my cereal
billyrayvalentine
The kind that is not about sharing a food bowl.
Xenophemera
One that's about to throw up a giant wad of undigested whole kibble pieces in the very direct future.
Gdub1337
The kind that hurks on your pillow half an hour later
SupposablyPersnickity
Competitive eater!
THUNDERSTRUCK1965
Obviously, you haven't seen me eat Cheerios.
LittleDragon
I have been looking for this gif
Superbatwolfman
Then throws up on your rug not two minutes later
OnItLikeRice
Well yeah in the rug. You dont wanna mess up the hardwood or tile floors. Its just considerate.
JustAFlamingoInDisguise
This reminds me if one of my dogs. He has problems with his teeth so basically uses the seagull method of eating anything hard
EvilAristocrat
my dog grabs a mouthful and then takes it to the other room to eat, he learned cause we had another dog that passed that did it so he
didnt have to share every bite with him and cuse his head was bigger and took up the bowl
AmbersLucky11
One of my cats eats like this, but she puts her top teeth at the rim of the bowl to fork in as much as possible
kingkongkeom
I hereby request a video of your cat eating, as it sounds hilarious

delusionaldaydreams
Had a cat that ate like that, except he would violently throw his head back and chomp with his mouth open. Food went everywhere.
kittykat25909
was it a scaly green Florida cat?
No. Alligators eat with more finesse than he did. He was the sweetest animal in the world, but he was an absolute mess with food.
iputnutinnutella
Wtf do you have any videos? We need more pet videos in this world.
I might have a video of that. I have so many pics and videos of that cat that it might take a while to find.
To me that sounds like you just need to dump all of them to us.
Found a couple videos. He was a little pig. /a/SXPmeJY
Omg you remembered thank you <33 very lovely kitty
Provos
Is there some reason? Have they seen a vet about it?
LegendOfTheCrack
It's called gluttony.
rhaderhade
I took my cat to the vet bc he does this.I thought hyperthyroidism or something, but it cost me £200 in tests to be told he's just greedy ?
maltesespaghetti
I've seen another video where a blind cat did the same thing (from not seeing the food/bowl), not sure how relevant but it's a possibility.
waterballer
I’m surprised you haven’t gotten a real answer. They do this because of tooth aches, or broken teeth/fangs. Guy needs a vet-dentist!
Dispeptique
Maybe the cat was a stray before and has a tendency to eat as much as it can just in case ?
TheRogueNation
Our barn cat eats like this (she's maybe 9?). She's been well-fed ever since she showed up as a kitten, but that's our theory too.
SergeantExplosion
Got a new kitten, fucker loves kibble, main cat always grazed fine. He are so much he had diarrhea
MisterMyst
I believe this often indicates sensitive teeth. This cat may need some brushing or other teeth cleaning
extraDimensionalAnxiety
The cat was clearly in prison and this is a habit that he took with him when he got out.
F234K
This is due to cats being solitary creatures. Owning multiple is not recommended by any vet. Cats will compete over food and often overeat
nosebleedcremebrulee
Heh it took longer than expected to scroll past an internet vet
Rauca
Please post a list of said 'Vets' so we may avoid these crisp packet diploma charlatans.
Raikupath
I've had several cats my whole life. They always had their own bowl of food and never ate from a different one. You're so wrong.
UnicornsAndShenanigans
Owning multiple cats goes against vet recommendations? Also, feral cats have straight up communities and favorite friends they roam with.
smittycoco
I've had many vets recommend adopting two cats instead of just one
SemiLucidUser
Sauce?
Doesn't need one, just like you don't need a source to know Lions are in packs

I'll just watch a Disney movie /s
StatmanIbrahimovic
That massive bowl of food for one
Pacaruru
Yeah cats aren't social eaters you shouldn't feed them from the same bowl. That's how you get "scarf and barf"
PaulHurley
Yeah, we feed our two cats 2/3 cup of food a day. Cause they couldn't handle free feeding and got heckin chonky.
Kittynomnoms
My cats have always been free eaters. Neither has had a weight problem... Unless it's wet food, then all bets are off.
hanslo91
Plus one for the heckin chonky
OtherRandomAccount
Unfortunately, having overweight cats is quite bad for their health. For one thing, on average they don’t live as long :(
Yea I know my boys got chonky so now they are on a strict diet. But I love the words heckin chonky!
