He could also go as any number of Gilded Age plutocrats. Dressed like that, declaring "I am Carnegie/Hearst/Vanderbilt!" and nobody is likely to question it.

it is pointless to have a degree until the man in the mirror dies.

Good news, the real Grover Cleveland died 116 years ago! Looks like you'll have to go get that post secondary education

He needs to move to Ohio. Way more work in Ohio. Also, put on a couple hundred bounds and start doing Taft.

I feel like this guy could also pull off a good Taft, Fillmore, and Teddy Roosevelt if he really put in a good old … college try.

Hah! I got my bachelor's degree...now I do historical reenactment for fun. I'm not a convincing Cleveland or Lincoln though.

I'd rather see an Artemisia Gentileschi than a Lincoln, honestly

My Italian is a little rusty & I'd rather not reenact the rape & following torture she underwent during trial, but I'm definitely a fan of hers.

That is a VERY EXCELLENT exclusion for reenactment purposes - vibing without the violence of men and patriarchy is ideal in this situation

I don't have anything else to say on the subject, but I suddenly felt the strangest urge to make two non-consecutive comments.

I'm lucky to work for Colonial Williamsburg. I'm not an actor but my wife and many others are. Full time work. So it's possible. Just have to find the right place.

I have a master's degree and now I'm a stay at home mom because my husband gets purpose out of his job, and I burned out after 2 years of teaching middle school. He makes enough money for us, and now I spend my days doing whatever the hell I want (kids are in double digits now). Its pretty freaking amazing-- fuck working.

I remember that guy. Mayor Balldinger or something like that.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

My daughter has informed me that it is Humdinger. Balldinger is one of the local sports hosts.

College degrees are so much fluff just for the sake of generating revenue for the school. Imagine having to only take classes that are occupationally relevant.

Universities are not trade schools. The point of a western-style, liberal arts education is to develop critical thinking skills and a broad educational foundation that prepares you to meaningfully contribute to society.

Graduate students can play sports, too.

Now you’re just playing pretend.

Has he enjoyed a full ride in every season? If so, good on him.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sure, sure, but are the degrees he gets in lieu of actual paychecks worth the paper they are printed on? I’m all for paying NCAA athletes for the professional sports jobs they do, but let’s all stop pretending that a bachelors (or even a masters too) in communication is worth having.
