Been waiting since October of 2017 to trial it. Trialed it for 15 minutes in July 2018 and have waited since then to get it. Update coming soon.

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Power Hand?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Power fist

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Let me just say,it's FINALLY in the United States and at my prosthetic dudes place. So I will be donning it hopefully by the end of February

7 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

When you say Prosthetic dudes do you mean dudes made entirely of prosthetics? Isn't that a robot with extra steps!?

7 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

It used to be a normal dude, but as his body got more messed up he had replace parts, then eventually ending up as just prosthetics.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Curious. What kind of additional work needs to be done on it by said prosthetics dude?

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I need a new socket made; the socket fits on my stump and is up to my elbow. It is what the hand attaches to

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Also, all the sensors and wiring and battery needs to be fit into the socket as well

It's a hard plastic sleeve that my residual stump fits into. Mine goes up to my elbow. It holds the battery, wires, and electrodes

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

3d Printed? or modeled by hand (My cousin used to make prosthetics, and interfaces)

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Modeled by hand

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Where does it go when you hit home?

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

When it hits home,, it'll be in northwest Indiana on my fucking wristy stump

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It must be difficult doing all these replies one handed...

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Lmao,,, Ive gotten quite fast at texting and typing

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Home button... what does it do...

7 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 2

Opens the garage door.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Detaches and walks like the hand in the Adams Family.

7 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

"quiet mode"

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Points in the direction of home.

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I'm not sure yet,,,, I've been on a waiting list to OWN this since July, so I imagine I'll learn it in the next couple weeks.

7 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

It's worrying that it has features they're not telling you.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is this one of those hover hands I keep hearing about?

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Well..... What does it do!?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

http://www.taskaprosthetics.com/#

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Thanks, I guess I should have done that

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No worries. :) Hope it's awesome when it arrives!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It looks so good in the demo video that it looks like there's a real hand inside controlling it like a glove.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

October 2017 you mean?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Let me give you a.... Need a helping.... High... Gratz

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If the first thing you do with it isn't give someone the middle finger I will be very disappointed

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

@OP How does this attach to the limb, classic socket or osseointegrated?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've a socket that goes up to my elbow. This should just attach to the wrist area

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just don't snap your fingers, me and 50% of sentient life in this universe beg for it.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

When do you get the infinity stone slot upgrade?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How do you control it?

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Mind Powers...

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Myoelectric sensors, the muscles that make my hand open will make this open .the muscles that made my hand close will close this one

7 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Also, ill be able to twitch my wrist one way or another to make the whole hand rotate.

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

So just using signals from your brain it knows what muscles you would move and moves the hand instead?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No. The sensors are on my forearm muscles. The same muscles that would open and close my real hand will do the same for this

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's still pretty awesome, make sure to keep Imgur updated!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you hold your hand right, you should be able to see a few tendons down your wrist. Those allow muscles in your arms to control fingers.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

IIRC it senses muscle contractions and tries to simulate the appropriate motion. We're not quite at sci-fi prosthetics yet. Close though.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That's still pretty awesome though!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How many dollars does that cost?

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

It's costing my insurance somewhere around $130k

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I hope that $$ comes down soon/fast... thinking of india, iraq, afghanistan, afrika.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Jesus. That's ice-in-my-stomach numbers. Good on you for being insured.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Congrats! I'm hoping to get a new eye made soon

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Are you going to get the red light in it??

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Unfortunately insurance supposedly only covers original eye color. Otherwise I'd probably go full terminator

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That sucks. You should be able to choose whatever you want

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well I doubt insurance companies send someone out to check that, so maybe I'll see about a new color lol

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well I doubt insurance companies send someone out to check that, so maybe I'll see about a new color lol

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also, I'll not only be able to move the hand but also rotate the wrist but I'll update when I get it

.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pretty soon this will be a upgrade for rich people

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Just don't put any fancy jewelery in the knuckles. The Avengers frown upon arcane knuckle dusters.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I want to add that it's water resistant, too. A huge development other hands don't have. Enjoy bearing it up!

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That's exactly the reason I bought it!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

have fun OP!

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

DEUS EX INTRO!

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I see a lot of people with crappy ones. How’d you get one this advanced?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I just researched what I wanted. I kinda demanded it. Originally they wanted to give me a hook. I was like, "I'm not a civil war veteran"

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

See if they'll add a universal remote function.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Maybe now you and your organization can get that pesky inspector Gadget!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Can you rotate it like a Philips screwdriver?!

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Yep

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

whoo hoo!. I'd wear that thing out making mashed potatoes.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Are the usb adapters so you can just use your hand as a mouse?

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No, it's to sync it up to a computer to change the movements it can make

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ok, in your next post, maybe clarify that?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Looks like the taska. https://youtu.be/awLQgcRvDfI

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

it is, see @OP's link

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Does it rotate 360 degrees?

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Yes it will

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Groovy! if you wear cloves you can freak out some people!

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

*humming the 6mio$man theme

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

How is it for video gaming. Seriously would like to know.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Probably horrible unless it’s for VR or the Wii

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well that blows. Would love to replaces my hands.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can't wait

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What brand is it?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Taska

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Looking forward to the sweet sweet gifs! Also, if you care to share: How'd you lose your hand :o?

7 years ago | Likes 70 Dislikes 1

He found a sweet replacement model.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sneezed with his hand open

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

He surpassed the human limitations for the amount of times you can masturbate in a day

7 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 1

I hear you lose the skin on the penus before you lose your hand. What a champ.

7 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

As a married man I can confirm

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Except OP is a woman.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Ahhhhh, I forgot.. women don't masturbate... Right?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I just learned to use my other hand is all. I'd feel weird asking for a vibrating finger

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Different motion

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Looked through post history. Cancer.

7 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 1

Geez. Stupid cancer :/

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Thanks

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'm so confused

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Why?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Because having a cancer on your hand doesn't sound very common? I mean, I know they can grow anywhere but you rarely hear about those

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It got in my hand and made it go bad. So I lobbed it off at the wrist

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I get that reference. Just need a chainsaw.
