I love AI and I hate AI.

Hell yeah, Weird Al is a good guy.

HELL YEAH 🤘🤘🤘🤘

First of all who in their right mind would think Weird Al would be on board with this

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This tells me he must've spent a LOT of time filming those customized birthday videos from him you can buy.

And I appreciate that.

"i'm weird, not a piece of shit."

As if I needed another reason to love Weird Al

1 month ago | Likes 184 Dislikes 0

I want him to publish who how much and make the whole offer public. Let everyone know.

Al has famously personally asked artists - not labels, artists - for permission for every song parody he's done, even though he's legally covered as a transformative work under fair use and doesn't need permission.

In what world is THAT the kind of person who is down with generative AI??

Stay weird, Al.

And Al says thst AI can fuck off.

1 month ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Weird AI no
Weird Al yes

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Ugh good. I can’t stand those sellouts who are advertising Amazon’s Alexa

1 month ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

It gets even better, if you read the interview/article, the company was trying to trick him into signing by hiding the fact it was for AI.
So, he deserves even more praise for being a standup entertainer!

Al or AI?

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

He desperately wanted to avoid the "AI Al" joke (depends on the font you are seeing).

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This guy, love this guy.

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It's nice to know that Weird Al hates Weird AI.

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Finally, a headline typeface that is distinct enough between a lowercase L and an uppercase i.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

semi-related... he's in the middle of another concert tour https://www.weirdal.com/tour/ "Bigger & Weirder"

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Thanks for posting! I had wanted to attend a concert last year, but real life decided to fuck me sideways. Things are calmer now, and I can see that there's 3 concerts in the upcoming month I can attend, so I just need to decide which one I want to attend.

AI ain't AL

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's Weird Al not Weird AI!

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is clearly Al

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He also turned down a beer ad in the 80's because he knew most of his fans were under age. Dude has always been a stand up guy

69th like. Nice. Weird Al would be proud.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Weird Al can't be manipulated or bargained with if it goes against his wrought-iron principles.

commerical

Common Weird AL W.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Am I the only one who noticed that in this default font Al is the same as AI.

I think it's the sort of irony Al would appreciate. I mean Al, not AI.

1 month ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

I'm guessing that the AI ad was going to capitalize on the AI vs Al similarity, similar to how the original Geico gecko commercial played off the similarity in names.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Al has in fact made that joke about Al and AI

1 month ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

sans serif makes upper case I and lower case l look the same. The letter I needs goddamn serifs. Or the letter l needs a goddamn leg, I don't make the rules but SOMEONE does and they need to get on this.

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The I looks slightly thicker than the l. If you look very hard it is possible to tell them apart. I'm talking minimally different and barely differentiatable though. It sucks.

This is a good catch, but does not tell me which is which.
I = capital i (thicker)
l = lower case L (thinner)
| = vertical bar
either way... fuck fonts that make these so similar

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The I (uppercase i) is about as thick as the A (uppercase a), whereas the l (lowercase L) is slightly thinner than the A. So when you see AI or Al it is possible to tell. But it's damn hard and I (uppercase i) 100% agree those two need serifs or a curly tail.

Oh look at that, it's as easy as saying no to money. Shame almost zero other celebs have this much of a backbone, especially ones far richer than him.

Like Hugh Jackman, 50cent, Gwyneth Paltrow (pussy candles weird, but not a crime).

1 month ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Paltrow may not be doing anything that she can be put in prison for (unfortunately), but she's snake oiling pseudoscience products and treatments that in the best case: is misleading people with ailments and selling them bags of nothing for a lot of money, and in the worse case: may cause harm or death when people choose to trust her insanity instead of real medicine.

She's shilling for luxury residential properties in Israel.
