Am I the only one who was very disappointed that they basically dropped the romance in the second movie?

Dropped? They literally sent them to couple's therapy, and had an emotional "I can't live without you" moment at the end of the movie.

I wouldn't say they dropped it, they definitely left it open as a possibility for the 3rd movie but didn't confirm it. I'm very much in the camp of wanting to see them be an actual couple, in part because they didn't push it immediately so it feels way more organic and natural to lead up to it now.

The romance was there. However I know Mickey Mouse hates interracial reations. Why else would he only date minnie mouse. Or donald duck and daisy duck. The only interracial disney couple is Goofy and Clarabell cow and both are looked down upon sometimes.
