By comparison, the BBC covered up for their most famous child entertainer, Saville, and authorities didn't do shit. Ditto for their Epstein fanboi diplomat, and a host of others.

It works as a joke, but in reality, because he was a Royal, he evaded it for decades. The Pedophile Formerly Known as Prince has been a known creep all the way back to the 80's. And he's not being arrested for that, he's being arrested for leaking classified info. None of that, however, is Conan's fault, and I appreciate him kicking the Count of Mostly Crisco squarely in the ass.

He arrested but not charged while they searched his home for evidence pertaining to the real crime he's accused of - releasing state secrets. He was held for a total of 11 hours and then released. It's not like he was arrested, charged, or tried for anything related to raping children.

How could he be arrested for raping children? The US has not opened any criminal investigations, and that is where the crimes were committed.
I mean, if the British police found anything when they searched his home, then they'd be able to charge him, but if he only raped children on US soil, then there's nothing British police can do about it until there is a US investigation.

I don't know british law, but I know in the US you can be arrested and tried for certain crimes - sex trafficking and raping children among them - regardless of where in the world the crime occurs.

If a crime was committed on foreign soil, and there is an active investigation in the foreign country, and the US has an extradition treaty, then the US can arrest the suspect. Same goes for every other country.
If the crime crossed international borders (eg trafficking) then any country involved can launch an investigation. There is no evidence (yet) that Andrew committed these crimes anywhere other than the US.
The US has to launch an investigation, but it won't with this DoJ.

Hopefully, if they found anything, they won't send it to the DOJ. They'll send it to the relevant states in which the crimes took place.
