Imgur: More will come.

I very much hope so! These were great!

#11 always bugs me, as Gandalf was happy that Pippin pledged his service to Denethor in the books.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Gandalf was much more cranky old man mode in the movies. “Fool of a Took” translated into “I farkin hate Pippin so much forever”.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

True, though there Denethor was a far throw from the raving, utter fool seen in the film, so that detail ones goes either way on my part.

4 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Gandalf took Pippin along to protect him from the lure of the Palantir, once in Minas Tirith he was happy to have someone else babysit him.

#10 Seriously though, a therapist could get a lot of miles out of using the heroes of the fellowship as positive examples

4 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

That last one is perfect

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That last one cracked me up. lol

4 years ago | Likes 118 Dislikes 1

My friend doesn't get it

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The actor broke his toe on set kicking a helmet. It's a meme for people to say this but of trivia when watching that scene.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Cracked like Aragorn’s toe bone when he kicked the helmet

4 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Lol, me too, it was great

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

They brought you into a disciplinary meeting... because they are now your first council and need your instruction in discipline. Duh!

Because they know who is daddy and they've been naughty!

Annnnnnnnnd just like that, the spirit of Sauron took form once more.

When a day shift supervisor tries to tell the ghosts, erm, night shift what to do

4 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

Night shift is wild from the stories I've heard

4 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

This is 100% accurate.

#12 Who's the one who killed Balrogs?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Some fantastic new ones

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Grabbed all three on DVD yesterday, but just basic versions, not extended versions I heard about.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I prefere the first film's theatrical edition, while I recommend to check out the Extended edition for the second and especially third film.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Well if you're just after a watch, I think they are on hbo max.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not a service in my country. Only get NetFlix, Disney+ and Amazon down here (maybe one or two more I don't know), along with local options.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#12 who is this?

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Glorfindel (image from a card game IIRC), who slew a Balrog in the First Age. He's in the LotR book, but not film. Here's a post on his 1/2

http://www.theargonath.cc/cast/jbenzon/jbglorfindel1.jpg the game card in question, for those curious

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The elves showing up at Helms Deep was done well enough that it gets a pass from me.

4 years ago | Likes 221 Dislikes 3

I didn’t mind this, but the rangers should have come too. And it should have been Elves, Rangers at Pelennor, not army of the dead.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My only gripe is after the wall blew up, they fired one volley then charged. Just stand there and shoot them when they come through the hole

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Didn’t the army of the Dead only take out the Corsairs as well, and it was solely The Grey company who arrived at the port?

4 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Gray company and Gondorian soldiers they picked up in the south.

4 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Which made the mordorian orcs lose heart, because they assumed a great host of reinforcements, as opposed to a dozen(?) ships full.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I WAS SO ANGRY first time I saw the movie! ButButButBut THERE WERE NO ELVES! Then I calmed down. Had 2nd breakfast.

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

That’s one of my favorite moments of the entire trilogy. I’m such a dork that when i first saw the Hobbit, and the dwarves were hiding in>

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

>the caves from the orcs and you hear the horn (which was the same horn from when the elves came) I audibly whispered ‘that is no orc horn’

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Me as well, for they do not change the battle events nor, I'd argue, have detrimental impacts on characters or themes; but the meme's fun ^^

4 years ago | Likes 107 Dislikes 1

This. We need to save complaining about movie adaptations of books for when they ruin the theme or massively alter story.

4 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 0

They did massively alter the story but Jackson managed the shift in theme/consistency well.

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

True. Of the two, theme is more important. I can be OK with plot changes if it remains true to the heart. It's like iRobot. That plot came >

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

< from nowhere and the characters didn't even live in the same centuries, but it was very true to the core of Asimov's writing.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

The hobbit… ehem ehem

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Just SO pretty. My Haldir crush is unmatched.

4 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

Him as the main villain in Legend of the Seeker kept me going

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ohhh also Celeborn… holy smokes

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Elves, rangers, same difference.

4 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

Assuming you're thinking of the Grey Company, they joined Aragorn first after the battle and after the visit to Isengard.

4 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 1

Think so, been ages. I thought someone kinda random showed up though? I really should reread those but tbh I found them somehow dry. :/

4 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Gandalf shows up with a bunch of trees...the silent murdery type, not the talking type.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not before battle no; the Dúnedain Rangers/Grey Comp' pops up after. It can be, aye, JRR knew himself his style was not for all tastes hehe

4 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

But, what about those precious toeses?

It all depends if Moses supposes

4 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

His toeses were roses.

4 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

But Moses supposes erroneously!
