"In case you haven't noticed, the white people are melting out here!" -Fools Rush In (1997)

There's probably a reason we don't want them back here in MI.

Geofrey "Goofrey" Asmus is THE best comedian in the world right now.

Imma be so real, the only people who care about the immigrants here are the psychos. The rest of us locals don't really mind.

That's actress Fabiana Udenio in Robocop 2 (1990). She would later appear in Austin Powers 1 (1997) as Alotta Fagina

Geoffrey Asmus, hilarious.

I mean no disrespect when I say that most American comedians don't travel well. Foreigners aren't their audience and nor do they need to be. This guy is funny though, and I would like to know more.

Goofrey! Gotta watch his Germany jokes in Germany. One of the best bits of comedy I’ve seen in years

Here’s his YT: https://youtube.com/@geoffreyasmus?si=fOiMN22e0kTeA_7e

He often plays the Alpha Male stereotype role, but in a funny/subversive way. He’s got an underlying sexist slant that comes out sometimes, but generally he shares some pretty smart and insightful takes. He can be hilarious. Highly recommend.

Was in Phoenix 10yrs. ago and had not experienced 100 since living in OKC. Drove somewhere got out and i think it was 110. Was in Mobile this year and around NOLA July 4th and it was 100 all week. Not doing that again!

to be "That Guy"... We had some hot summer triple digit days here in the high desert, and it honestly was hot, but not that bad (if you had access to shade and hydration). You couldn't f-ing pay me to do 100 in NOLA with the humidity.

The "it's a dry heat" does actually make a HUGE difference.

And i hoofed around on the USS Alabama for a few hours. the State park there camping sucked.

Yup. I spent a summer in Riyadh, and I would take a summer of days of 115F/0% over the 90F/50% days here in Dallas every time (to say nothing of the month-and-a-half of 100+ days we just had).

Going outside may feel like you're walking into an oven, but at least you're not drenched in thirty seconds.

"Go back to Michigan" --- ok, calm down, no need to get that personal.

You know how you tell Fall has arrived in Arizona? The license plates start to change colors. So many Michigan plates down here.

Cool backstory; the family thought we were the first to move this far west. Lineage on both sides are pre-revolutionary. But mom had a great, great uncle that was a prospector who lived in Arizona and was murdered. He's buried in Prescott. Hell of a"Wild West"story...

Oooo fun wild west story of my own for you! It's been about 10 years now, but I found out on my mom's side we are descendants of a man named John Wesley Hardin. He was a fugitive back in the 1800s who was wanted for murder. There's a story about him shooting a man in the other room of a hotel for snoring and then escaping out the window....among other things.

they way he said Dali bothers me.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I had to say it properly and out loud for my brain to be able to let it go.

Isn't that at least the right syllable stress for his name, Dalí? I think there's an accent mark over the i, so that's supposed to be the stressed syllable.

the way he said it sounds like the secret police of ba sing se, the Dai Li. It should sound more like dolly but with an A.
