I recently had to cut ties with one of.my oldest and closest friends because he said he still was a trump supporter.... one of the hardest things I've ever done. I could've just turned a blind eye, but chose to ask him directly. I've also told my other friends (who don't support trump) not to invite me to anything he's attending, which makes me think Ive pretty much ostracized myself from all my friends.

I've had Trumper friends too, so I understand there can be a disconnect between the person you know & the vile things they support. Even if you are right & your friend is against 'fascism, racism & mass death' by still supporting Trump not one of those issues is a deal breaker for him.

Years ago, I had lunch most days with a buddy. One day there was a group of about 8-10 black people that were hanging out where we passing, he says in the most hate filled whisper I've ever heard "I fucking hate N-words" I thought he was making some sort of shocking, unfunny joke. Nope, he was serious & starting ranting about it. I knew that friend for over 5 years & that was the first time I ever heard him say anything like that about anybody.

Most of the policies JFK is remembered for where enacted by Johnson after Kennedy's death, but we blame Johnson for the Vietnam War, when it was Kennedy who got us into it.
